About this property

Southwestern dream vacation--amazing views by day and night!

Our comfy beautiful home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths, and can sleep up to 8 including the sleeper sofa in the living room. The hand-crafted dining table seats 6 and there is additional seating on 3 bar stools at the kitchen island. The home is nestled in the Organ Mountains outside of Las Cruces, NM. You will be stunned anew every morning when you wake up to the incredible mountain views, and then stay up late to watch the stars from one of the outdoor porch seating areas. If it's nice outside enjoy using our outdoor grill (additional charge; see notes), and if it's chilly relax inside in front of the gas fireplace. You'll be surrounded by nature and so close to so many parks and hiking trails, while also being a short drive from Las Cruces to experience delicious southwestern food and culture. Take a break from hectic life and take a deep breath of desert mountain air!

Note the house does have cable and internet, but we are out in the mountains and they are satellite only--so it can be spotty! If you are looking for the best place to spend a week in online meetings this may not be it. If you're coming to enjoy the great outdoors while still catching up on some emails and maybe enjoy some streaming at night, come on over!

-Hatch (Chile capital of the world!)
-New Mexico Museum of Space History
-New Mexico pistachio and wine country
-ghost towns like Lake Valley and more

And just a few hours more to well known spots like:

Please, no pets and ABSOLUTELY no smoking! Any indication of having smoked or bringing pets will result in an additional cleaning fee.

It is the exact same one that you see when booking and there will be no surprises. I reserve the right to cancel the booking if the contract is not returned signed. This location was easy to book and easy to find. The funnest part was that the whole house was decorated in SW colors and motif. It really added to the charm! Plenty of bedding and towels and the discs for White Sands were an added bonus that made our trip fun! the open living area was big enough to accommodate more than 8 people and felt open and inviting. It was very clean everywhere.

It was a great stay!

Beautiful house with a beautiful view.

Location was excellent, you were a short drive from many interesting places to include Hatch NM(Chile capital of the World), White Sands National Park, Alamogordo NM, Old Mesilla Village and Dripping Spring Natural Area just to name a few. Great communications with the owner, she answered all our questions in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this place.

Why they chose this property

Our family lives overseas for work but wanted to have a home base for when we return to the U.S. We have always loved New Mexico and were delighted to purchase this home in such an amazing part of the state. It has been the perfect dream southwestern home and each time we visit we love to spend our time hiking, wildlife viewing, and eating delicious New Mexican cuisine. This year also happened to be the perfect timing to have a home that's quite socially distanced from anyone else!

What makes this property unique

We love this home and this area for its closeness to both amazing natural adventures and also the "small city" of Las Cruces and all it has to offer. At this time, its location is even more perfect: what better place to avoid the "corona craziness" for a while than a relaxing stay up in the foothills with almost no neighbors nearby??
