Nice layout with excellent common spaces in the home. Kitchen is a touch small but the seating areas close by make up for it! Well thought out design for vacation living. Indoor and outdoor seating/eating options, spectacular views and our fury family was thrilled also!

Our stay was wonderful overall! The views from this home are absolutely stunning! When we arrived, the door code didn’t work but management quickly fixed it (the keypad had lost internet connection). The bigger issue was a 2-day power outage, which definitely made things uncomfortable, especially with our elderly dog. By the time management offered to move us, the power company had already restored service. That aside, the home itself was clean, cozy, and well cared for. The views are absolutely gorgeous and the back porch was our favorite spot! The garage was great for storing bikes, and the house came with plenty of beach chairs, toys, and even an umbrella. Only small suggestion: add hot pads in the kitchen. We also noticed the public access next to the home, but it was only a few people here and there for sunrise/sunset, and it never bothered us.In summary: management was attentive, the home was comfortable, and the views were stunning. We would definitely return!

Our family loved our week at this lovely beach home, an older house that has been thoughtfully remodeled. Gorgeous views of the bay from the living room and kitchen! Back deck has plenty of space to lay out in the sun. The sea wall is near the deck, and the beach area is rocky with about 6 feet to water during day. At night, water covers rocks and laps up to sea wall…beautiful and peaceful. My teenage daughter and her friend enjoyed having their own space in the upstairs loft bedroom with its en suite bath. Husband and I found the primary bedroom to be spacious and very comfortable. Third BR went unused but is very nice as well. Practical points: —Kitchen has plenty of dishes, glasses, mugs, serving bowls, utensils, plastic food storage containers, etc. Standard drip coffee maker. Electric water boiler (great for tea and coffee press; bring your own press if that is your thing.) —Second refrigerator in garage, perfect for extra drinks —Beach gear stored in garage: 2 wagons, 2 umbrellas, at least 6 beach chairs, 4 boogie boards, and lots of pool noodles and sand toys! —For full beach experience, we walked about 4-5 blocks along North Shore Drive to one of the access points for Bean Point Beach. Street parking (for car or golf cart) is limited. We found it was about as quick to walk. —Anna Maria Life rental company was super responsive when we had a small clog in the garbage disposal. They sent someone out same day. Wonderful home! We hope to return!

Anna Maria Island where your memory lasts a lifetime

This home had everything we needed. Kids loved double bunk beds, if you have kids, upstairs of the home is kids only zone and their shower was better then mine downstairs. Kitchen area was small but big enough for basic use, just watch you head when you are clocking, vent is low. I waa glad Master Bedroom was downstairs, it never got too hot. Although most homes like to control temp of inside, this one did not, we kept home cool for the entire stay. Due to recent storms and water leaves, beach area was small in afternoon unexisting in early day hrs but this didnt bother our kids, you can walk further down and beach was 3 houses down if you want to set out chairs. Next door home is currently undergoing renovation, hopefully they will be finsihed soon. One thing I did not like is lack or privacy. Other side of home is open beach access to public that was busy all the time, night and day. During day, people would walk by and stare if we were upfront or patio, would try to set up chairs on wall despite the sign that states its private property and there was no trespassing. Living room area is mildly hidden by a screened-in patio, during the day was fine but at night, lack of blinds or privacy film on widows left us feeling exposes and felt like we were displayed to folks that were walking by accessing beach from the street or going on to street from the beach area. Management was amazing. Booking process, payment, checking in and out, effortless. Thank you

Wonderful Vacation Home!

This home is newly updated and so warm and comfortable. We have vacationed at AMI many times, and this is our new favorite home. We particularly loved the room upstairs for our kids! And loved all of the different spaces for eating. The screened in porch is lovely as well as the dining nook! We will be back!

Relaxing stay on AMI

The house was clean on arrival and very well stocked. We cooked several meals there and had everything we needed. Bonus fridge in the garage for extra drinks. The house is located right next to public access for the beach, so there were many days that strangers, and even a unleashed dog, walked onto the property, even though a sign says no trespassing on sea wall. Perhaps a small fence or chain, or landscaping would help keep it more private. You can walk to many shops on Pine Ave. Dips was our favorite ice cream place.

Heavenly Home on the Bay

What a comfy, cozy, perfectly heavenly home right on the water! Mornings were spent leisurely sipping our coffee either in the pretty breakfast nook or out on the deck to watch the sunrise. After breakfast we’d take the short golf cart ride over to Bean Point Beach to float in the most gorgeous, clear water we’ve ever seen, stateside. After cleaning up and having a light lunch, we read or watched a little tv then napped…usually to a little rain shower. We spent so much time watching the ships coming under the bridge. We even saw dolphins swimming by one afternoon! We tried a new restaurant each day for an early dinner. On our last night we grilled steaks and shrimp at home. The kitchen was well-equipped in order to do so. Evenings were spent either enjoying the breeze from the bay on the deck or taking a ride around the island in the golf cart. This home is pet-friendly so our dog Mabel was with us and she had a blast watching all the pelicans and other birds you don’t see in Arkansas. So many exciting new sights and sounds for her to explore in the neighborhood during her walks. This is a residential area of the island so it’s incredibly peaceful and quiet, which was exactly what we were looking for. We visited with the neighbors next door a couple of times. Betty and Kenny are a lovely couple who’ve lived on AMI for the past 40 years! Ship Watch looked exactly as photographed. It’s decorated beautifully and it was the perfect vacation getaway for us.

Ship Watch for sure

The house was recently renovated/updated. When we origionally booked the vacation the photos were different, it looks much brighter and newer. Everythign is new. Very clean. Great view of boats coming and going. Plenty to watch; birds, dolphins, paddle boarders, people gathering scollops. Loved the shade. Often it is very hot at the coast and having the shade tree was awesome. Great location; easy walk to peir, great parking, easy accees and easy to find. The neighbors and people walking to the bay were very nice and friendly. Lots of people walking dogs and sitting on bench to see sunrise at the bay. BEAUTIFUL SUNRISES. Great view of the bridge lit up at night, it changes colors. The birds were awesome. Osprey landing in tree next to us. Heron walking on seawall. So many pelicans. Dolphins every day. So many things to watch. I took so many photos. Information sharing; not being critical, just letting people know. There were plenty of linens, dishes, pots/pans. Small soaps as in hotel. Small bottle dish detergent, pack of dishwasher detergent and small bottle of laundry detergent. There were zero food items, not even salt/pepper. This is good and bad. Do not want old food but often we stay at places that have enough coffee/filters for the first day. The coffee pot is good, makes a full pot or one cup. Does not use K-Cups. If you plan to cook or store food you will need every spice, aluminum foil, storage bowls etc. The bedrooms are spacious. New mattresses are firm. The bathrooms are recently renovated. Very clean and bright. TV uses ROKU. Had a good Internet conneciton. There are 2 garage doors. One is locked, I assume for owners use. The other garage can be opened but it had ceiling fans and stuff I assume from renovation on the floor where we could not get our auto in. Not a problem, just letting people know what to expect. But they items may be gone for next perons. Plenty of room to park in the drives. The area next to the house is public access to the bay and no parking sign. You can get 2-4 cars in the drive. There were 2 outside chairs we used on the deck. The screened porch has plenty of seating and very nice furniture. Lovely home. Plenty of space and awesome views. Quiet end of island with very little traffic.

Great spot for family vacation

This is the second time we have stayed at this property and we have thoroughly enjoyed our family vacation each time. Location, location, location. This house is right on the beach! Small beach but perfect for family with little kids. We can sit on the deck and watch the kids play in the water or sand. They can rest at any time without us dragging all our gear home. All of us enjoyed the beach and water!! The cons would be the broken dryer. We used their massive bushes by the deck. The response from property management was immediate. Unfortunately a part was needed for the machine and we were leaving the next day so the next visitors would have a working machine. A few minor things need repair but the property managers were made aware and are fixing those items. All in all it was a lovely time with my family and we would rent this place again.

Great Location, OK house :)

I'm giving this house 4 stars because I can't select half stars. Real rating would probably be a 3.5. I've read many reviews for this house, both on the rental site and other sites where it's offered for rent (VRBO, AirBnB). I also stalked the house on google maps. I was nervous to say the least, but I'm hoping my review will help others. I have been coming to Anna Maria since the late 90s and previously stayed at my grandparents house. This house felt just like that - dated, stuffy/moldy smell, odd furniture choices that I imagine my grandparents would have also chosen. None of that bothered me because 1. I'm used to it, and 2. Most of our time was spent on the beach, not in the house. The house was above our budget, but even with the dated feel of the house, I'm still glad we chose it. This house was perfect for this stage of our lives. We have a 9 month old (and a 5 yr old) who needed lots of naps and it was so nice to be able to put the baby down, bring out the monitor, and still enjoy the beach. The water here is calm and beautiful so we could also bring the baby out without getting knocked down by waves. The actual beach is maybe about 15 feet deep (depending on the tide). There is a sea wall that adds some seating space, but it's sand on top of a cement shelf, so not actually the beach. We rented a canopy since we have young kids, but there wasn't much space for it. We had to perch the canopy half on the beach and half on the sea wall. The property has a large tree next to the beach that gives a perfect shady spot, but you still get plenty of sun as well. That tree was an ideal situation - I hope they never remove it lol! There is a beach access point right next to the house, but maybe 1 or 2 small families would come by per day, and occasionally a couple would sit on the bench to watch the sun/ocean. It was not an issue at all. People do park in front of the house, but there are large trees and bushes that provide privacy. The rod n reel is much closer than the pictures suggest. Bayfront Park is also a quick 5 minute walk along the beach. There is a swing set and picnic tables at Bayfront Park, but honestly I didn't see the point in going there since the beach isn't much different than the one at the house. We did take trips to bean point/holmes beach since those have the soft white sand that I love and you can watch the sunset from that side of the island. The sand at the house has a lot of shells - not the soft sand. For shell collectors, it's awesome. The house even has a shell rake. You can watch the sunrise from the house. We saw a dolphin on day 2 and a manatee and dolphin on day 5. At night you can see the Skyway Bridge lit up and watch storms that roll in from the sunroom. The house had 2 working beach chairs and 1 broken, but usable, beach chair. There were also 2 camping chairs and beach towels were provided. The agency recommends fun and more rentals, but we found that Just 4 Fun beach rentals was a better deal for beach supplies. The bedrooms are all in the back of the house. They are dark - perfect for daytime naps for kids. I also liked the bedroom with the three beds as it was brighter, private, and you could glimpse the beach from one of those windows. The beds are super soft. I have a bad back, so I was a bit crippled by them but they were still comfy. One of the three bathrooms has a bathtub. I couldn't tell from the pictures, so I thought I would mention it. My son LOATHES showers so we prepared him that he would have to take showers on vacation. Needless to say, the tub was a nice surprise. However, it's not without issues as it has a glass door and the faucet is next to the toilet. For adults - no big deal. When giving a 5 year old and a 9 month old a bath, its not fun to squeeze between the toilet and the glass door to wash away soap before it gets in their eyes. I've read responses from the rental agency on negative reviews and a renovation appears to be in the works. Below are some improvements that the owner could make based on our experience (outside of the obvious renovation work needed - e.g., updated appliances, bathroom updates, updated ventilation system for the mold situation): -Add febreeze plug-ins throughout the house to diminish that moldy smell -Add high top tables in the sunroom so you can see more of the water over the bushes (the bushes are nice because it provides added privacy) -Add an enclosure for the outside shower - maybe change its location so there is room to do that. -Get a better patio furniture set for the deck -Add another sofa for the living room -It looks like a beach wagon was purchased for the house, but the box for it was empty. That would be a great addition for renters. Same comment for having some baby/children supplies in the house. -Larger improvement - consider adding a door to the sunroom to get outside. One comment for the rental agency - the suggestion to mail the rental money to a PO Box made me nervous that the rental was a scam. I paid the cc fee because I was too nervous about mailing a check. I honestly worried it was a scam up until the moment I put the code in the front door and it worked. In this day and age, the mailing/cc fee is archaic. To those that are also nervous, it was not a scam and we saw the agency with our own eyes while driving around, so it does exist lol!!
