Peace and Tranquility ... farmland, river and west coast beach - perfection!

Located on the Mimitangiatua river mouth and with beach access, our home welcomes guests (adults and children 10+) to their own private "wing" with full kitchen, dining and cosy lounge area. Our beds are wonderfully comfortable. Relax and enjoy breathtaking views, extraordinary bird and sea life and spectacular sunsets. Relax with a book, take a walk on the beach, have a swim or bring your fishing rod and try your luck! Close to local walks, cafes and 25 minutes to New Plymouth. Please note we do not cater for children.

Amazing stay, beautiful view and so quiet from such a busy Auckland life.

I absolutely recommend this venue for couples or even small families looking to just stay somewhere that’s a nice getaway for them and only 16 minutes from the nearest small township for food and petrol

We had a great stay at Mimi Beach. The views are spectacular as is the walk to the beach. And, the bed is THE most comfortable bed we've ever slept in while travelling. Thanks for being great hosts Pauline and Roy!

Peaceful nothing

Close enough to be easy far enough to feel like a real escape. We were looking for a weekend of nothing. Beach bliss, fishing, watching the tide roll in and out and the sun go up and down. Just what the doctor ordered. Great hosts who went the extra mile to make our stay relaxing.

We have opened our extended home to adult and children (10+ over) so guests to North Taranaki can enjoy this incredible slice of Paradise. Our property overlooks the Mimitangiatua River mouth, the Tasman Sea and we enjoy spectacular views of Mount Taranaki.
Not to mention the surrounding farmland, bush and bird life. We enjoy the beach - fishing and swimming, and relaxing in the peaceful environs. Mimi is the most amazing spot to kick back and relax. Sometimes we get up in the morning, enjoy a leisurely breakfast, read, chat and chill out - next minute, its lunchtime! We have two pet cats - Pixie and Kitty. As keen gardeners, we aim to grow our own produce and are gradually establishing a small orchard area.

Honestly, this is the most perfect place to relax. As an avid reader, the peace and quiet is great. A walk on the beach is good for the soul and a quick dip in the ocean fixes everything else! The landscape is forever changing, depending on the weather and tides.
