Beautiful spot, lovely bach. Shame about the road noise, very loud. The river looks unwell with no current running through it and no water from river mouth pushing up, the water looks dirty , still and stagnant. No whitebait. The native bush and bird life is amazing and brings a sense of wonder, awe and tranquility that was the highlight of my stay plus the warmth and cosyness the fire provided. Lovely warm days. You may want to hire a new cleaner as there was mould on one of the smaller lounge windows. Cobwebs all over the back of couch, microwave hadn't been cleaned, outdoor table was covered in mould and dust. It would be a good idea to note down to push the blue button in electrical box when fuse is blown. If the person that gets the bach ready went in the morning to check everything is in good working order this problem may have been avoided.Very comfy bed in back room. Thank you for letting your bach to me - Tania.
Bach11 had everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday with the kids. Plenty of room indoors and out, we most enjoyed the fishing from the wharf, relaxing with books and games on the rainy days and our visit to the Three Sisters.

Lovely bach which is in the most beautiful setting, on a domain with other wee baches, set right back from the road so it's utterly peaceful and relaxing. The beds were super cosy and there was an enormous range of bedding to make ourselves at home with. The sofas were incredibly comfy, and the kitchen was super-well equipped.
This was our first weekend off in months and staying here was perfect. What a peaceful and relaxing place to stay. It has everything you need so it makes life so easy to just have to pack your clothes and food etc.Lots of space and the deck is just wonderful. Will definitely book again
This is our 2nd time staying here. Great place to say and nice and quiet and beautiful
view of the river on your doorstep . yet only a 2 minute drive to urenui to get yummy brunch from the mudbay cafe and yummy fish n chips for dinner from the local fish & chip shop would recommend to those wanting a weekend away
This is a lovely wee batch, well appointed and set out. Short walk through the motor camp to cute and dramatic bay....
The batch was cosy with wood burner!
Great property. Clean and orderly. Great location.
My only criticism would be that linen was supplied, for us to make our own beds. On the day of departure we had to wash all our linen - quite an undertaking when there were 5 of us staying there, and we had to be out be 11.00am. It was raining so we used the dryer and felt bad leaving the bach full of condensation, but there was no other option.

Beautiful spot. arrival marred by having to clean and wash all dishes which had been put away dirty. Ant problem in bathroom and spider webs throughout, resulting in a nasty bite to leg of a guest which meant a trip to Waitara for medical advice. Layout of batch was great with pretty views.
Clean, neat, fresh and well thought-out. Comfortable & pleasant allowing a relaxing and stress-free experience. We inadvertantly left a large glass fluted bowl with fitted plastic lid, which I am keen to have returned. I am willing to pay the postage. Please advise. Cheers, Kathie

The owners are friendly and quick to respond. The house is cosy, and our whole family enjoyed our stay. We really liked the comforts of home, including the TV, and also really appreciated using the kayaks and fishing rods. My sons were fishing most of the time! Just a couple of little things we have for suggestion: the beds were not made, however, we had access to linen to make them up ourselves. It was useful having the washing machine and dryer, however maybe the dryer needs to be moved outside, or a vent put in so it doesn't make the house feel damp. Overall, I recommend this bach - great spot!
This is my 3rd time renting this property with my friend for a break and we always go home refreshed.
The beds are very comfortable... the place is
clean and pleasant with plenty of room and there's good cooking equipment in the kitchen. Also the deck is great for meals and relaxing. A great Bach.
IF your looking for a comfortable “summer batch” feeling to your stay then you will definitely get this from the house.
The large private deck @ the back has beautiful Aotearoa bush & water views. The singing birds, ducks & splashing fish make it that extra bit welcoming. The handy BBQ & Outdoor Furniture while the kids kayaked became a daily brunch ritual. There is plenty of parking, seating & sleeping space the beds were cosy and everything in the house functioned as it should. We had local Urenui family over for dinner and there was plenty of cutlery & plates to cater without having to race out and buy plastic.
The place was easy to keep clean & tidy - We appreciated the simplicity it gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy our holiday.
The neighbouring homes in the park area were friendly and quiet.
Will definitely visit again - I have a mokopuna on the way so am grateful to have had somewhere lovely to spend time with them in Urenui.
Thank You

A wonderful property - clean, well equipped and suits all occasions and weather.
The only downside is the rowdy traffic, especially large trucks, climbing up the hills.
I fully recommend this property and the managers are amazing.
