Quaint little cottage that is close to Chester. It was an easy commute to Bridgewater for necessities. Only an hour to Halifax for day trips. Big yard to allow our dogs some space.
It was the perfect location to see the area. The little house served our basic needs although they could use a handyman to fix several things and see to the grounds. The shower is kinda scary as there’s no mat so it’s slippery and there’s nothing to hang on to. The lockbox was a challenge but somehow it finally opened. Communication with the owner was good she answered my questions immediately.

Thanks for staying with us. We cannot do much about the lockbox - that is how they work, but will make sure a bar is added to the shower area. There should have been a mat there? Will replace it.

The kitchen was lacking in essentials. There was no cutting board/colander/working can opener/paring knife/burnt out bulb in range hood. There were no hooks in bathroom/nothing in shower area to hold soap, shampoo, etc. and there was mould on the bottom of the shower curtain. We had to do laundry at a laundromat, as the washing machine only ran scalding hot water into it (there was no cold water line running in to the machine). There was no binder with household information re wifi/tv/garbage, etc.I had to call the host to find out what we were to do re garbage/recycling/compost/disposing of pet waste, and there was no recycling bag.For our 12 day stay, we were left with no tissues, 1 roll of paper towels and 4 rolls of toilet paper. In addition, we had to clean out the brush compartment of the Bissell vacuum before using it- it was loaded with dirt and dog fur from previous renters.
