With all the flexibility of four bedrooms, master with walk in wardrobe and full ensuite, a 2nd bathroom, separate toilet and a substantial additional rooms, this home spans 250m2 (approx) of floor area, and is efficiently heated throughout by Honeywell central heating, HRV ventilation and solar panels to ensure a warm home all year round. Outside there's plenty of space for the kids to play, the pets to roam, and the adults to relax and unwind on your sunny balcony accessed off the main living. This is a lovely holiday home thank-you, with a lovely view, and nice and quiet. The home is warm and spacious. It was great having the master bedroom on the same floor as the open plan living, dining, kitchen area. We would definitely like to come and stay again sometime. The ferry trip over to Lyttelton for the Saturday market was terrific.

Fantastic place to stay

Amazing house with spectacular view. Beds beautifully comfortable and so much space a luxury time away. The hosts provided so many extras nibbles, milk in frig coffee etc simply amazing would go back in a heart beat. Thoroughly recommend.

Diamond Bay

Lovely stay in Diamond Bay, unfortunately the weather didn’t let us enjoy the fabulous view as much as we would have like, but it was still a magic view sitting watching the world go by. It was a bit of a drive into Christchurch, but the house had everything we needed for us as a combined family. The house heating worked well and the kitchen was well equipped. It was a great experience showering with a view within the master ensuite.

Diamond Harbour “Hidden Gem” is definitely that. Spacious, spotless, and seriously spectacular views. Just perfect for our large group. Fresh fruit, bread, milk and the lovely bottle of wine added to the WOW factor. The host was easy to communicate with. Diamond Harbour is a lovely area to explore and just a ferry ride over to Lyttelton. Highly recommend this Hidden Gem

Ferry to Lyttelton from Diamond Harbour town is operated daily and a short stroll of 30 minutes drive to Christchurch town, 50 minutes drive to Christchurch International Airport ensures an easy access to this private get-away perfect holiday house. What's more, it is an epic drive through the Port Hill mountain with great views of the Bank Peninsula.
Puru Bay, Church Bay and lots of beach access are just around the corner. Orton Bradley Park, the hidden Gem, offers you great family activities ranging from the famous Rhododendron Walk to the popular Waterfall Gully Track and beyond to the DOC Packhorse Hut or Mt Herbert. A 9 hole golf course, children's adventure playground, with flying fox situated next to a small stream are for all members of the Whānau.

What makes this property unique

~ Please note that the house is designed and appointed at the best position for privacy and sea view. Steep driveway may require your competent parking skills, although, the house is situated at a cut de sac, so plenty off-street parking on top of the drive way. ~ Please contact host if you are planning to bring your four-leg buddies, T&Cs applied and additional cost may apply. ~ Due to the extra labour cost, there won't be weekly/monthly discounted rate during: New Year's Day & Day after New Year's Day, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Queen's Birthday, Labour Day, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
