Relaxing!!! Was there for a wedding so didn’t really get to enjoy the strawberry patch!! Which is so sad because it was beautiful rustic and even better has a little river and a local bar right beside it!! Will definitely be back
I was a rustic getaway surrounded by peaceful nature noises. Cozy. Comfortable. No TV, which is fine. We came to the mountains to enjoy our surroundings. Lovely property.
We had a great time at the Strawberry Patch. The cabin was more of a multi-unit cabin, which is different, but the place was nice and suited our needs just fine. The only bathroom is a master bathroom, which could be awkward if more people had come with us. But it was fine for just my wife and I. The room was very quaint and well stocked. It had everything we needed. I
We sat on the back porch and watched the river every evening while we relaxed from our days travels.
We would recommend the Strawberry Patch. And we would gladly return again.

There is no TV on site. Septic was backed up and over flowing the morning we left. Quite time is 9:30. Kids aren't allowed. I didn't know this and drove 3 hrs for my son's football tournament. I had already spoke with Evolve and was told they would reach out to the host and everything would be handled the day we arrived. She told me my kids would have to have ear buds to watch their electronics. The host was rude, but overall it was a cute property.

We could not control the heat!
The rooms were cute and the location in Townsend was excellent (avoided the madness of Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge). Having said that we were there in December and the rooms were freezing and ONLY way to get heat turned up was to text the owner and wear all our coats until she responded and turned the heat up and even then it was never truly "warm." Also the front of the building is really unattractive with multiple vehicles stored and 8 overflowing trash cans that stunk. And as a previous reviewer noted the floor slopes dramatically and was a serious problem as it triggered my husband's vertigo!

Response from VrboOwner on 5 Feb 2021
Hi Erik, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we are sorry that you experienced an issue with the heat. We followed up with the homeowner, who assured us that they responded within minutes to your request to turn the heat up. They would have been happy to turn it up even more; however, they were told that you were comfortable when they asked. The owner also let us know that the trashcans are stored in the parking lot, but they are picked up every week and kept out of the way for guests. Lastly, they confirmed that there is no slope to the floors. They will continue to work hard to provide their guests with an exceptional stay in Townsend!
I enjoyed my stay at strawberry patch. I have already recommended it to people that I think would enjoy it, as well. The only complaints I have are the 6 steps that we had to walk up to get to our cabin felt like they were about to give out. That was a little scary, but I think they're just old and need to be updated soon. And also having to contact the owner/manager to change the temperature in our cabin was a little annoying, and the fact that it had to be done before 9 pm. We were visiting Townsend for a wedding, and the second night of our stay, we didn't get back to the cabin until almost 11 pm, and it was a little warm for our liking, but there's nothing that could be done, because we did not have access to the thermostat, and was told if we wanted it changed, then it had to be done before 9 pm. Those are the only two things I would change. Other than that, the cabin was small, and beautiful. The scenery outside was perfect. We had everything there that we needed. And it was perfect for a two night stay with just myself and my best friend. We would definitely stay there again.
I enjoy the outdoors and nature. This property gave me an opportunity to enjoy what I love. Everyone was great. Housekeeper was lovely. Totally enjoyed and stayed extra day.
Property was perfect for what we needed. Host was very helpful & accommodating.

Awful
The pictures of this rental only show the back of the cabin, the front of the cabin does not look like an appealing place to stay at all.
Many problems inside the house, the floor at the kitchen is caving in. No lock on the bathroom door, you have to hold it closed with a rock...
I’ve never stayed at a rental with so many rules. You cannot use the fireplace, no noise, and you can’t even control your own AC temperature. The owner controls the AC for you which is insane to me.
You can hear people next to you in the other units very easily. No TV to even drown out the noise.
So many easy fixes can be made to make this a better rental.
I have never left a bad review on the 50+ rentals I’ve stayed in, but this one just wasn’t up to par.
