Staying at this property was a big part of our whole Cincinnati experience! It was comfortable and spacious and so close to everything we wanted to see!
Very comfortable one floor unit! Perfect for three older adults, two with some physical challenges. Very nice place to stay for weekend events for family member's wedding at the art museum!
The view was amazing. The driveway is very steep, but after using it a couple times, it wasn’t an issue. The location is great. Easy access to the city, crossing the bridge to Kentucky, and many other locations. The place is older, but maintained well. We would definitely stay again.
This house was a cozy retreat when the Christmas Blizzard of 2023 hit Cincinnati. Fortunately, we had enough food and firewood. The river view in the snow was gorgeous.
Not a place to stay if you don't like navigating highway traffic getting in and out of the driveway, don't like steep driveways(very steep and narrow), don't like mix matched old towels, broken dishwasher no tv remote (I did download a universal app so we used my phone as a remote) and traffic noise all hours of the night, (you are in the city so that is expected). However, all that can be dealt with because the view is amazing!
There’s a lot to do in Cincinnati and Newport, and you’re at the center of it in 2110 Columbia parkway. The driveway is a little daunting, but pulling out onto Columbia is the scary part. The house itself is kept in good condition and everything’s pretty clean. The bugs are harmless and barely noticeable mid November. The house was well stocked, and we were able to cook almost everything we wanted to. We needed a whisk though. The blender wasn’t functional either. 9/10 experience.
I'm very sad because they took money for a place where I didn't spend one night and they didn't return the money I paid for my stay. The conditions for my children were bad, there were all kinds of bugs☹️

Response from VrboOwner on 10 Sept 2024
Owner's response: "Naima, It is our mission to provide a 5-star experience for all our guests. The right vacation home is everything, and we're disappointed if this wasn't the one for you. - We understand that you were not at the correct unit and it took you a long time to get into our home. We are as advertised and have the capacity to sleep 6 people. We have one queen in one bedroom and a queen-size bed with 2 twin beds in the living room. The twin is a trundle bed and will sleep 2 people comfortably. - We have not had any issues with bugs if you were outside for 10 minutes or so I can understand why the bugs were out as they gravitate towards the light. However, we are very careful and preventative. We do not have any bugs in the home. - We're sorry but you were not entitled to a refund based on no proven documentation and the same day cancellation. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests. We will continue to deliver the 5-star experiences we are known for."
This place is tucked away off a main road with a great view of the river! There is plenty of room to spread out, and it's easy to get to UC campus, downtown and KY from this location. The driveway is steep and a little daunting, but after a few times in and out, you get the hang of it, but it could be difficult for an older guest to navigate. Great to have a washer and dryer. We had a great stay.
The view was why I chose this property. It was breathtaking. I could hear the people upstairs but it didn’t bother me, I didn’t chose this property for complete solitude. Communication with the host was great.
Duplex Is Totally Private Nestled Among the Trees on the Side of a Hill Facing the Ohio River
Our family rented all three of the units available at this property. The others are called "Queen City Home w/Ohio River View" and "Riverview Retreat" or "Chalet in Cincinnati". These were used for my son's bridal party. The men used the upper house and the ladies used the lower house. This unit, AKA "Queen City Sanctuary w/Views" was used as the bridal suite. The driveway is steep and narrow, but once you see the views, you don't want to leave. I actually hope we have another opportunity to rent this again sometime.
We picked this home because close to downtown and availability on short notice. Definitely a no frills type of place, but that's all we needed because we were out exploring the entire time! 3 reds games, museum, tour and great food is what we came for. Thanks Mark for resolving our little issues quickly. Would rent from this owner again.
The property was exactly how pictured. Was conveniently located to all venues. Picturesque view of river. Beds were comfy, & adequate space for our family of 5. Had a little trouble with security code @ check in, but property manager was quick to respond & resolved. Would definitely here again if visiting Cincinnati/Newport area.
There was just two of us staying, but the unit is spacious enough for four. On the downside, the living area could be more cozy and comfortable.
Towel bars in the bathroom would nice. Also a guide on how to turn the tv would be helpful.
well equipped kitchen and bath. comfortable accommodations. Upper unit peeps mostly confused about the parking and came into our area twice. and we sent them up the hill. enjoyed having a table in dining room for our games at night.
I enjoyed my stay at this location very much. I had no issues with logistics. Being able to view the river at different times of the day and the changing colors of the sky and the city...it was blissful (even if there were a few bugs dancing around :-) ).
Although access was tricky you do get used to it and the mirror is helpful. Great view of the river and Northern Kentucky! Kitchen needs at least one non-stick fry pan.
