Relax in our quiet, lakefront cabin

Nestled on cozy Shay Lake in northern Wisconsin, Lone Cedar Cabin is perfect for a week on the lake or a weekend hitting the trails! Our peaceful 1300 square foot cabin sits on 50 feet of lakefront property. With 3 bedrooms and a spacious living area, there is plenty of room for groups up to 12. (Note the additional per person fee for groups over 8.)

Shay Lake is yours for fishing, swimming, or boating. Rent our 22 foot pontoon boat to make your stay more fun!** Relax at the cabin or check out the surrounding areas of Lakewood, Suring, and Crivitz. In the summer, try whitewater rafting, golfing, biking, gift shops, wineries, casinos, or horseback riding. For a winter getaway, add ice fishing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling to the list! Information on nearby attractions and activities are available in the cabin or use the Wi-Fi to plan your own adventure.

Oconto County has 450+ miles of ATV trails and many snowmobile trails. Trail maps for both are available in the cabin. We have plenty of parking for your trailers and vehicles, plus you can connect to the trails directly from the cabin. In the summer, just a quick ride out of the mile long driveway will bring you to the trails where you can travel in any direction, seeking out your favorite destination, bar, casino, or restaurant. If traveling by sled, a ride across the lake will get you to the snowmobile trails or head out the driveway where you can take a quick ditch ride and hook directly up to the groomed trails.

$300 for a 2 night stay
($100 for each additional night)
$700 for a 7 night stay
(We provide 11 adult life vests and a throwable flotation device)

The property was very clean and spacious. We did not expect to not have phone service so getting the keypass ways tricky. Peaceful but pretty far away from everything. Obviously people like that, just wasn't for us.

Memories made to last a lifetime

This was our third time staying at the Lone Cedar and our never disappoints. We have 6 adults and 6 kids (9 and under) and it's a blast. We enjoy the fishing and swimming with the use of the boat, kayaking around the lake. Enjoy sunrises and sunsets along with the loons and eagle. The firepit is nice. We love the games. Our time was amazing. The hosts are fantastic. Thank you so much for everything

My friends and I rent this cabin every year. Cabin is clean and well maintained. Great location on a small quiet lake. We rent the pontoon which is great for fishing or just cruising around the lake.

Lovely lake getaway

The cabin was lovely! Everyone slept comfortably in the large rooms. Four young kids took over one of the bunk rooms and loved hanging out and having a “sleepover” Beautiful lake nice and quiet. The cabin was a perfect retreat to hang out and relax! Lake was great for swimming! We all had a ball!

Up North getaway

Great cabin on Shay Lake. The cabin is spacious and clean. The lake is beautiful and the fishing was great. We also rented the boat which was fun. This is the 2nd time we rented the cabin this year, we had to come back after our great experience in early summer.

Great cottage

Nice cottage on a very clean lake. Really appreciate that so many things were provided for us, firewood, paper goods, sheets, towels, even beach towels. Love the ramp down to water, so much easier for the toddlers. Thank you for a great vacation!
