About this property
CROFT COTTAGE near Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve
Croft Cottage is a cute and cosy 1920s home-away-from-home in the heart of Hepburn Springs village, with a bright and modern extension featuring a soaring cathedral ceiling. Decorated with quirky design features by a former artist owner, it is a short stroll to all that this charming little town has to offer, including many superb cafes and restaurants, private day spas, the famous Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, and lovely forest walking tracks. Bustling Daylesford is less than 5 minutes' drive away.
The cottage has WiFi, a smart TV with Netflix, and a woodburning heater with compimentary firewood supplied for your first evening in the cottage. There are two highly effective split-system air conditioning units. Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am.

Very disappointed with property.
The outside photos on website are old and dont accurately show current state of property.
Very shabby and overgrown.
The internal photos i feel were taken with panoramic view and dont really show how small the living area is.
The property overall could do with a good scrub and update

Thank you for your comments. We regret that the considerable charms of this cottage were lost on you. It has a review average of 4.95 out of 5 stars on our main Air BNB listing, based on 184 reviews. What you describe as "overgrown" we would consider the successful fruits of our efforts to encourage the climbing rose and climbing honeysuckle to grow up on the trellising and arbour, thus providing a more secluded and private feel to the front courtyard, which is now surrounded by lush greenery on all sides. Yes, the photo of the front does not show all that recent growth and could be updated, but the reality is better than the photo. Yes, the living room photo was taken with a wide-angle lens in order to show the relationship between the various features in the small room; to counteract giving a misleading impression, it was deliberately edited in order to squeeze the edges of the photo back inwards. It is indeed a small room; the kitchen and dining area, on the other hand, is in the modern extension and is very spacious. The quirky interior design, mostly done in the 1990s by a former owner who is a respected local ceramic/mosaic artist, has been considerably enhanced in recent months with additional decorative mosaic installations both inside and out, by another local artist. Most guests are entranced by these whimsical touches.
The stay at Croft cottage was very relaxing. The house was close to all the amenities and had everything needed to make our stay comfortable.
Thank you Anthony and Andrew!
A very well appointed cottage which everything we needed for our stay.
I would recommend that the owners but a new bed in the second bedroom as it was too soft and dipped. I’m only 60kg but it still dipped.
The owners also need to board up the chimney as a possum fell down in the middle of the night!!
Otherwise, the cottage satisfied our needs to stay near my other so n his partner n new baby!!
Right around the corner from some lovely restaurants and shops and a stones throw from both Daylesford and the Hepburn springs. Communication was excellent, the place was in immaculate shape and we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. Cant recommend enough to.

Hi, I'm Anthony! After living in London for many years, we decided to move to Melbourne for a lifestyle change. And then, after just 2 years in the city, we decided on a tree change in the Daylesford/Hepburn Springs area, as we had holidayed here previously and fell in love with it, as it has both European and Australian characteristics and charms. I run the holiday let businesses with the help of my partner Andrew. I am more hands-on with cleaning and preparing our cottages for guests and greeting them and making sure everything is to their liking. Andrew is more behind the scenes, ensuring our reservations system and other IT systems and facilities are working well. We make a great team and love welcoming new and returning guests to experience our cottages and all that the beautiful Daylesford/Hepburn Springs region has to offer.
