Great place to stay, especially for weddings nearby. Clean property, nice rooms, and plenty of space for everyone. Zman was responsive and helpful, overall a great experience.
This is our favorite location in the McKinney area! Near parks and downtown but away from the major traffic. This was an older house, so it had a few quirks we dealt with, but the property’s manager was quick to take care of stuff and overall the 6-8 places we’ve stayed around this area visiting family, this is our favorite.
We really enjoyed the property. Rooms were good size and a lot of space. Our teenage boys enjoyed playing pool for hours. Very nice neighborhood, loved the garage parking. The property manager was responsive and helped when needed. Great restaurants and a Walmart nearby.
Our original stay was for a baseball tournament that was canceled. After rescheduling the days we intended to stay, we had the perfect place. This home was the perfect location with nearby food and shopping. We enjoyed our quiet and peaceful retreat.
Traveled from Waco tx and arrived and was made very comfortable with the home
Very clean and I’m the corner of a quiet culdesac
Only downside is the stairs are pretty steep and all rooms are upstairs
Besides that downfall, the home was perfect
Great location, nice house. Well equipped. Property manager was excellent. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean and well stocked. House is dated and could use upgrading. Very dark inside.
It was very good stay. 1 problem, the tub stopper did not work in the master bedroom. The water kept leaking out.
Over all, very nice house, good location.
This worked out fine for 9 adults and 2 children. Everything was as listed.
We were it town fora wedding. The rehearsal dinner and venue were within .2 miles perfect. Kitchen is great for take out but not great for cooking. Pots and pans were minimal. Location was excellent to downtown McKinney.
Needed a place to accommodate 10 guests. Place worked out great. Only heads up would be all bedrooms are upstairs and stairs are steep. Caution for the elderly or physically challenged. Otherwise, would highly recommend.
We liked the house. The kitchen was a little cramped but we managed. The pool table was great for entertainment and the TV room was excellent as was the back porch. The only complaints was the property was dirty especially the window seals and baseboards. There were some necessities that would improve the stay in the kitchen. Example, there wasn't a blender. The cabinets and drawers could have been more organized and they needed more knives. Thank you!!

Listing lacking information
The home listing is lacking significantly. All bedrooms are up a huge flight of stairs. We rented this home as a place for our family to stay together while we were in town for a wedding. When we arrived we realized all the bedrooms were upstairs. This posed a significant problem for us because part of our group was elderly. We ended up having to buy a baby gate also, because the stairs were very dangerous for our small children. Had the listing stated this, we would have chose alternative lodging.
Honestly mixed feelings. If the house was remodeled, it would be fantastic. Some areas of the house were pretty rough around the edges. Front door had wooden shims to hold the glass in place, the second bathroom had issues with the bathtub faucet. We never got it working properly. Overall cleanliness was good, but found a beer can in a window seal, and the dishwasher was full when we arrived. The one thing that annoyed us the most was Check out was at 10:00, and either the owner or the cleaning person was there at 9:45 waiting outside in their car and watched us while we loaded our car. Was kind of creepy.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Great location but very neglected & dirty
This property was in a great location and a very quiet neighborhood. It had good size bedrooms. All of the table seating for only four people so that was a bit awkward. If you are a fastidiously clean person, this property is not for you. It has not been deep cleaned in a long long time. Every single bar of soap that is ever been used is still here. If you want to use the pool table there’s no chalk so bring your own. The dishwasher does not work so you’ll be doing all of your dishes by hand in a bowl because the stoppers don’t fit the drains. The outdoor patio has no seating except for dilapidated folding metal chairs, and the deck was uncared for. The home host was very nice and showed up, but was inefficient and ineffectual. I paid a fairly significant cleaning fee and we had to strip our own linens. I threw away the kitchen sponge because it had been used by who knows how many people. The cabinets are splattered with I don’t know what. The bathrooms were mostly clean. The towels are like sandpaper.
While the neighborhood was not bad at all, the house was not as ideal as we had imagined. With 2 toddlers, the stairs were a huge hazard, though there were no mishaps. Alot of the outlets and other types of wall plugs were poorly installed. A board in the ceiling of the living room was coming off. However, most importantly and also upsetting was the fact that my wife and I were bitten by bed bugs 10+ times each. This is absolutely unacceptable! We have washed everything we brought in the hopes of preventing them from spreading to our own home. Luckily it would seem our children were not bitten, so the problem seem to be isolated to the master bedroom for the time being.
Also, there was zero communication from the owner before hand and we had to play phone tag through Evolve to get the code to enter for our stay. We whole heartedly do not recommend staying here. And we have not heard back since reporting the existance of bed bugs. So I repeat, POOR COMMUNICATION!

McKinney or Bust
Colorado School of Mines alumni traveled to McKinney for the D2 National Championship football game & this home was perfect for a group of fans to have a home base for the weekend’s activities. The pool table & parlor were perfect for our group to gather and get reconnected. The location was ideal as it was close to the main road but in a quiet neighborhood. The property had everything we needed.
This house worked out great for us. We have a large family and we all had room. It was also great to see grandparents teaching kids how to play pool 🎱 and this was possible because of this house. Thanks for the great family memories.
The house was plenty big enough to accommodate our family, but there were small issues. Had no hot water downstairs and took a couple days to fix, overall cleanliness could have been better. Kitchen utensils very sparse, only the basic minimums furniture was dated and very rickety, and no real outside seating. House is dated and needs definite sprucing up.
