About this property

Small tidy 2 bedroom self-contained apartment. Across the road from a busy café, 10mins walk from the weta cave and 3minutes way from the nearest beach!

Bus stops right outside the door from the city (so it does get noisy) and just across the road to the quirky Wellington CBD!

Miramar itself is pretty funky with our own cinema and amazing eateries! Plenty of street parking and our streets are wide, so no stress there.

There are always electric scooters all over Wellington and you will find a bunch in Miramar.

Heading to and back from the city is easy with public transportation. The city will keep you entertained for hours with the likes of the Te Papa Museum, the amazing stores to shop from, book stores shoe stores. There is an abundance of places to eat, we have a bunch of favourites, so we don't mind sharing our spots to check out!

There is always something going on in Wellington, if it's not the inner city entertainment, there's tones of places to explore in and around Wellington!

A quirky type of accommodation being an ex-shop but that just adds to its uniqueness, with retro and vintage vibes. Really appreciated the extra bathroom space too when there was 4 of us! By car, literally 5mins or less to Weta Workshops, only 10 or less to the airport and about 20mins to Wellington central, so a great location. Bus-stop right outside, street parking available, supermarket a few minutes drive away as well. And Zelda is a great host too, so considerate. Thank you Zelda for sharing this special space.

Lovely compact apartment. Had everything we needed. I suspect there is little insulation making the heat pump & dehumidifier essential, but we were comfortable & warm. We did add extra blankets to the double bed. Very pleasant accommodation & happy to recommend it.

Really cosy place to stay in lovely quiet area. Busses right outside, but not too loud on the inside. Good privacy, good wifi, netflix on TV and a Chromecast. Some of the wiring/light switches a little eccentric, but fine once you figure it out. Could use a better extraction fan in the bathroom, and a curtain to block out light on the "window" between the bedrooms.

Fantastic apartment

A fantastic apartment. We had a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Our apartment is close to airport, bus services and attractions. It had everything we needed in it. Great kitchen, kitchen facilities, bathroom and laundry and very comfortable beds. Heating and cooling were excellent and we had great wifi. Zelda was very accomodating when our ferry cancelled and we had to stay another night. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful apartment. Highly recommend this property.

Friendly helpful host - I mentioned I was vegan and arrived to find vegan chocolate and non-dairy milk in the fridge. MOST impressed. Other properties have ignored that information in the past.very suitable place to stay while I caught up with old friends. quaint adaptation of former shop.

Great little place with lovely host

Zelda was an amazing host. Very friendly and made sure everything went well. The little house was perfect for a couple of nights, with everything we needed and some nice welcome gifts. The only negative was that the bedroom needed blackout curtains as it was bright from the street lights all night and we found it difficult to sleep.

What a shame could have been better.

Check in so late, instructions to enter property not great went to wrong door.No block out curtains Street light glaring in house all night. Need sunglasses to sleep.Only time you get darkness is when bus pulls up right outside a few feet from front door. Couch was soaked so you couldn't use it first night. Dodgey electricals you have to watch tv with lights on so no relaxing movie night Family.What a shame for the price we paid 200 plus per night The owner could spend a few dollars for block out curtains.Needs price drop bus right at door morning till evening street light all night in bedroom, wiring needs fixing so you can watch tv without lights on.Sorry but I'm just warning others.Need sunglasses

Fabulous little gem in a great location!

We had a wonderful stay in this Magnificent Miramar bach. Loved the location, so handy to everything including Weta, the zoo, the airport, and only a few minutes to town. It was clean, had everything we needed, and very well organized, with some much appreciated extra touches like the 'handy hints' all around the apartment (which I loved as I didn't have to go hunting in a book to find all that info) and the treats on arrival! The communication was great - the host was super repsonsive to messages. Thankyou Zelda! We most certainly would come and stay again :)

Magic Miramar

Met all expectations, good location easy to get too and within walking distance of shops and brewery. Sadly we were sick so didnt do much on the Sunday.

Great little find

We loved the location as it was close to my husbands parents and plenty of shops and restaurants are close by. The space was great, as was having a washing machine and dryer as we were on a 3- stop holiday. We would suggest perhaps fitting darker curtains or blinds on the windows at the front of the property as the location is quite light even late in the evening. Otherwise lots of great facilities. Thank you!

What a gem!

We’ve loved this wonderful small apartment. It was Perfect for our needs. Beautifully presented with nice pantry basics provided, quality linen and an awesome shower, this apartment is on the bus route into Wellington CBD and provided good value accommodation at less than $60 per person per night. Great location in a funky spot

The bus is literally right outside your door and it goes to or connects easily to almost anywhere. We had no problem getting a parking spot on the street nearby but never used our car as we could walk or bus everywhere). You can walk to very good restaurants (the Larder, for breakfast or lunch, is excellent; the restaurant at the Roxy Cinema is also great, as is the theatre itself) and you have a nice coffee shop immediately opposite (look up opening hours). Though quirky with an odd set up, it has all you need including reasonable kitchen and clothes washer and dryer for a very reasonable price. Zelda was super quick to respond to questions
