This cozy cottage is styled in classic Cayman architecture and located as far away from the glitz, crowds and night life of the 7-mile beach area as you can get on Grand Cayman. This newly listed/renovated get-a-way cottage contains 2 bedrooms (both with king size beds) and private bathrooms. Each independently air conditioned bedroom has a full view of the ocean. Imagine waking up and watching the sun rise from your bed! The great room also has two expansive views of the ocean where you can sit and watch the ocean landscape or read one the more than 50 books available (mostly spy and suspense novels). The fully equipped kitchen can handle anything you would like to dish out and includes a full size refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave. A cooler is provided for trips to the grocery store or for bringing your fresh catch home. There are outdoor surveillance cameras. A charcoal grill is also available if grilling your fresh catch is your style.
This is an ocean front property, not an ocean or marina view. Even on the hottest days, the northeasterly breeze will keep you cool. The snorkeling is excellent right in your backyard. Whenever the mood strikes, head out to your own snorkel heaven. Lots of reef fish, conch, lobster, crabs and coral formations (stag horn and brain coral) are yours to explore. On a calm day, if you go beyond the barrier reef, you could encounter just about anything.
Rental includes the use of two single seat kayaks, four lounge chairs, outdoor tables, life jackets, charcoal grill, and Wifi.
From this location, it is a short drive to Rum Point or Kaibo Yacht Club were you can enjoy a selection of very unique dining experiences (i.e., bare feet in the sand to fine dining) or charter a boat for fishing, diving or a visit to Sting Ray City. If conditions permit, experiencing bioluminescence bay by kayak is a must do. Rum Point is newly renovated and has a great bar, beach, food, dive shop, and jet ski rentals. A small convenience store is open 7 days a week about 10 min east of house. While in Grand Cayman, you have to get in the water at least once with the sting rays at Sting Ray City. Sting Ray City at sunrise is magical! If your interested in scuba diving, the best diving in Grand Cayman is with Ocean Frontiers (my opinion) just 30 minutes down the road on the East end.
