Owner's Response: "We are so glad you enjoyed the trail close by. It is a real treat to just walk down the road and experience the best of the mountains."
Overall good experience, only issue was the dust when opening curtains to go outside but that's about it. Nice area, very quiet and beautiful scenery.

Hi Stephanie, this homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: "Hello Stephanie, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the beautiful area. Thank you for letting us know about the dust behind the curtains - we will get on that!"
The Bear’s Den cabin was wonderful! Situated on a hillside in a nice wooded neighborhood, the cabin was clean and well appointed. The kitchen had plenty of cookware and implements to do real cooking, and a Weber grill was available for cookouts. The bathrooms were really clean and the wifi was fast and reliable. We had really hot weather when we were there, so we were glad the place had working AC. Nice place!
I have stayed at this property more than once while working in the area. It has been a great home away from home! The property manager is awesome/ so helpful and nice. Checked in when it snowed to see if I needed any help. The owner was always very accommodating when I need to extend, if it was available. Just an overall great experience. Cozy home!

Nice property but needed some attention
This was a nice property, big kitchen but it needed some attention. Not quite at the level of other evolve properties we stayed in the past. Just needed a good cleaning/dusting. We seemed to be the first renters for the season and in fairness—this area had historic snow and many businesses had only started to open
7-10 days before our arrival. The yard is fenced in and we were happy for the dog but very steep so not accessible from
the deck or other house entrances. Overall a good stay with some adjustments.

Hi Donna, we take it seriously when guests let us know that we missed the mark, and after sending your feedback to the homeowner, they’d like to share the following:
-As mentioned in your review, it is correct that this was our first booking after a historic snowfall. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced during your stay. We have taken steps to remedy these issues so they do not recur for future guests.
-We will be updating the listing description to reflect the accessibility of the steep fenced yard.
Thanks for your valuable feedback as we continue to improve for future guests!

Lovely home in a great area...
We enjoyed our time at the Bear's Den. The kitchen was well equipped and the very large "great room" on the first level is perfect for the family to spend time together while also being able to relax and spread out at the same time. The views from the deck were incredible and we enjoyed doing some star gazing.
Something to be aware of: you have to go downstairs to access the bedrooms. Due to the design of the staircase (with rails, and landing) , this was NOT an issue and our elderly parents were able to navigate the stairs with ease.
The home had numerous personal touches - wood carved bears, a little piano, some antiques.
Finally, we liked the area the home was in. Close to Lake Arrowhead Village area, but not too close... it was a nice quiet neighborhood with a nearby walking trail.

Fabulous mountain home for our family trip!
This is such a great home for our family vacations in the mountains! We’ve stayed here before and we always have a wonderful time but the house was nicer than ever this time around.
We were a large group - our family, my sister’s family, and my mom, but we didn’t feel crowded. We used all three bedrooms and the sofa bed in the living room and everyone slept well.
The snow was so heavy during our stay, we weren’t able to get to the ski slopes or any restaurants, but luckily there were sleds and saucer sleds in the garage for us to borrow and we went sledding on the hiking path down the road. The kitchen is well-equipped so we cooked all of our meals at home. And there are lots of board games and card games in the house so we took advantage of those to stay entertained. And the views out the windows are so nice - it was a fun mountain trip even when we were just sitting in the house!
Thanks so much - we’ll be back!

Owner's Response: "We are so happy you enjoyed your stay in our home!"
This really nice home is located on top of a mountain with gorgeous panoramic views while driving up the twists and turns! The road is not for the faint of heart but must be on your bucket list for at least once in your lifetime! The house is situated in a beautiful neighborhood of mountain homes. The beds were comfy and there was a tv in every room. Plus a large dining room table with a great kitchen to make a family meal. We went to lake Gregory for the day. It was fun and lots of water inflatables and a large water slide that even my 27 year old son enjoyed! One tip, research and Know what you want to do for recreation before you arrive. I recommend this home.

Beautiful and HOT
The house is lovely a bit off the beat and path but every detail is accounted for. The only MAJOR complaint is that the AC in the house is useless!!! The house was so hot the entire time we could barley enjoy it's beauty. The AC and air handler are undersized for the house and needs an upgrade to actually work. The house was 91 degrees when we got there and after trying for 24 hours to use the AC it went down to 89. With AC off and all windows open we were able to get it down to 83 even at night.
TOO HOT
