Older style house. Lovely front deck overlooking the large front garden, which the dogs loved (front gate might not be suitable for very small dogs). Great views of the countryside from the smaller deck out the back. The smaller bedrooms could benefit from blockout blinds or curtains (there are curtains in the king room) and a couple of the flywire screens need repairs. The BBQ was a bit rusty so required some cleaning but the outdoor eating area is set up well with lighting. The back fence is half-height so not suitable for dogs who jump. We had to block the sides of the yard to prevent the dogs going there (there isn't much backyard anyway), but side fences would be helpful. Ten minute walk to the shop and beach. Quiet area, when the neighbours' dogs weren't barking.

The house in general was okay. However we were unable to lock the main glass sliding door.
My daughter and I went home early on the 2nd of 3 nights as the others were leaving that day and due to not being able to lock the main door we didn’t feel safe alone.
The owner Antony said on the phone he would reimburse the final night because of the issue, but now they have ghosted me with no refund. Just appalling. Don’t say you will refund and then not follow through.
Also, weirdly the living room is downstairs and no tv in the upstairs sitting room which is where people congregate naturally; the interior stairs are super steep and unsuitable for elderly or children and the google drive remote was not to be seen. Worse than average at best.

Hello Claire,
You left on your own accord and only informed me after your premature departure. Had you informed me during your stay , I would have attended and checked the issue. However, after your departure I visited our holiday home and verified that the door could be locked from inside and outside.
As discussed verbally I was happy to initiate a refund provided the door was not locking and hence we cannot issue refund on change of mind.
With regards to the TV and the stairs our pictures clearly showed layout of the property. Chromecast is attached to the 2-of TVs and if you had trouble using it , you should have reached out.
Please note that we have had 100 over guests staying at our property and we have never had any issues as highlighted by you
