This was a pleasant stay. The house as described is what you see. Staying for 2 weeks gave the option for space, separate rooms, a kitchen and laundry, all things you won’t get in a small hotel room. The area was safe, quiet, and walking distance to local shops, beach, parks, and the ferry to Newcastle if that’s your thing. Would stay here again.
Despite the terrible weather & not being able to do the things planned because of the weather, it was a great place to be locked inside.
If the weather was better it's a great location to get in & out of the city, to the local beaches, walks & parks.
Frig was off then found some power points were off. Then checked power box and discovered a tripped switch. All ok.
Our stay was very enjoyable. Recommended.

A perfect short stay for our parents to enjoy the ferry to newy, eat out, chill & watch movies
- beautiful house and a comfortable setting to sleep and enjoy.
- a small minus is the oven and stove - didn’t know how to use it and a bit greasy from previous people … gave us something to clean.
- Kitchen is clever and easy
- bedroom is beautiful .
- the bunk was lovely but the double size bottom squeaked all night when making movement (need to check the springs)
- it was just comfortable to just enjoy and easy to keep tidy.
- close to shops and newsagent a bonus for the parent who love newspapers.
- great weekend and great way to be close to family in the area.
. Highly recommended

Description and cleanliness
We had a good stay at the property. On initial inspection the property appeared quite clean, however on closer inspection there were a few areas that needed attention. The stovetop looked like it had just been used and we were afraid to use the oven. There was an old chip and hair on a dining chair. The gardens were neat but appeared as though they hadn’t been tended to in a while. The shower head was leaking and almost unscrewed from the wall. I fixed this. The front gate rattled all night the first night, but I sorted that out too. I asked if the property had any sofa beds, to which I was told no, so we took our own alternative only to discover when we arrived that BOTH sofas were in fact beds.
With all that said, we did enjoy the property and the location. +1 for the Thai. Thanks for the tip.
This property was very central to everything and within walking distance to pubs, clubs and Ferry Terminal.
Very well maintained and styled nicely. The side room for eating was so light and airy with lots of windows.
But not very private at the back with a block of flats looking into property. Everything you would need was provided.
We had a lovely stay in Stockton. Feels like a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of Newcastle but only a 5 minute ferry away. House had everything we needed, the front deck was lovely. Looks they are doing up the backyard, a seating area and bbq would make it perfect
The house is beautiful, good location, room for everyone. Unfortunately we found the house was not cleaned to our expectations, considering you are constantly reminded that a $100 cleaning fee will be charged. No kitchen tidy bags provided for a 7 night stay, 2 light globes not working, spares broken, area at laundry/bathroom not swept, stains on floor next to couch/hallway, vacuum cleaner canister not emptied, if was full, sand on laundry floor and sink . Agent advised all would be fixed, not so 4 tidy bags left on kitchen counter, we used a damped tissues to remove stains on floor, vacuum still full, have photos of before and after
