Would not stay again.
We arrived to find the upper/rooftop ceiling level, roasting hot with the slider doors open to the summer heat outside. Discovered they were likely open because the rugs were saturated with a pungent cleaning solution. The "splits" air conditioning units were insufficient to cool the building. If left running all day in a smaller closed bedroom they were fine for that room alone - not common areas. The screens to all of the sliding doors on the upper level had holes in them sizable enough to fill the room with mosquitos when we attempted to cool and aerate the common areas in the evening. Overall, the home is dated and in need of renovation, deep cleaning and replacing items. Mildew and mold was found on walls, on blinds in multiple rooms, and is ample in the dark and uncleaned outdoor shower. The headboards in one bedroom were not secured and wobbled and banged against the wall with the slightest touch of the mattresses. The listing specifies linens and towels not provided so we paid a considerable amount to a rental company. We arrived to find shelves and closets overflowing with an overabundance of linens, towels, and blankets. The built in vacuum system let out a strong rotted parmesan cheese smell that was nausea inducing. Property management told us to lower the AC and it would be fine (it wasn't) and expressed concern about the bugs and vowed to check on getting the patio sprayed. In two weeks it never was making the patio a general waste. Not the rental for us.

Wasn’t What We Thought
The house is majorly dated in it’s set up. When we arrived there was trash in the back area. After being told there were no linens or towels, the laundry room had piles of sheets and towels that could be used. They were just thrown on the shelves with little organization so I folded and organized it all. Shower faucet in the hallway broke and had to be fixed but continued to malfunction. The bedroom downstairs off the garage smelled of gasoline practically every day until finally our friend in that room moved upstairs. (The water heater would also loudly operate every morning in that room thus waking him up early in the mornings.) the garage doors never locked nor would open via the garage door opener. (We had to open manually.) In the main bedroom, there was a ceiling stain. Did the house work for us? Basically, yes. Was it worth the money we paid given its condition and it’s far flung location from the rest of town. No. While our contact at the management property was very nice, this rental needs a refresh…STAT!

GREAT HOUSE
Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location. Spacious sunny house. Called the rental company and left a message about two very minor problems - they never called me back.
