Overall, a great stay. The property was a bit rundown and dirty, needs a bit of TLC but a great size, central to hot spots in town and the beach is right down the road ! Very accommodating for dogs !

This property was great. The pictures represent it perfectly. The location was close to everything you want to do in Gearhart and parking was available on the driveway or in the garage. My only exception to the stay, is that I asked about an early check-in as check-in was at 4 PM. They mentioned a fee, and upon finding out the fee was 60 to check in at 2 PM I declined it. I think it’s outrageous to charge 60 for two hours. I Ironically, the maid was still there at 4 pm. It was a bit noisy at night with the trash trucks and the front lock gave us some trouble during the stay but I really liked the property.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for highlighting the listing accuracy and the convenient location and parking. I’m sorry the early check-in fee felt unreasonable, especially since cleaning was still wrapping up at 4. We’ll review your concerns with both the guest experience team and the housekeeping team. We will also have our maintenance team fully service the door lock to ensure it's working well. Thank you again for this very helpful feedback and for choosing us as your hosts.

Location, parking, and access to the host were good. The home is very run down. The light in the master bedroom had a hole in the drywall, the couch was very dirty and not comfortable, the sheets were also stained, blinds were broken on some windows. We didn’t even use the couch/watch tv because it was gross. The kitchen chairs are metal and uncomfortable. We didn’t spend much time relaxing at the home because of this. In the pictures there are two mini fridges, there was only one. Also the tv was apparently broken, we didn’t use it so had no idea, but one day they called me multiple times to ask if they could have someone replace it when we’re were out of the house which was odd. There are check out and check in windows for that reason. We told them no as we weren’t using the tv anyway.

Thank you for the positive notes about the location, parking, and our hosting. I’m sorry the condition of the couch, sheets, blinds and drywall were cause for concern. We also apologize that only one mini fridge was available, and that our calls about the TV repair were disruptive. Your feedback has been shared with our team so these concerns can be reviewed and addressed promptly.

I'd like to leave a 5 star review but I have several things to mention that won't allow me to give you a 5 star review. The lighting in the bathroom is not good. For a woman putting make up on, it's barely even dim. I left the lights on when I dried my hair and it tripped the breaker. The blinds in the master aren't good. There's big gaps in between the sets of blinds and one of the slats is broken which left me vulnerable with the master being on the street. It would have been nice to at least have black out curtains to protect the privacy in that room. The long mirror is hung too low, I'm 5'5" and still had to crouch down to see myself. The shower head is very low which made it tough for my 6' husband to shower comfortably. But the pressure was great! And a mini fridge in the kitchen??? I get there was a larger fridge in the garage but the garage was dirty with cobwebs everywhere, I'm not bringing my food to the garage. The location was good, the back was nice for our dog and the neighborhood was quiet but the house needs help.

Thank you for highlighting the convenient location, quiet neighborhood, and outdoor space for your dog. I’m sorry the bathroom lighting, breaker trip, bedroom privacy, mirror height, shower head, and kitchen refrigerator fell short of expectations. We’ll share these concerns with our team for immediate review and remediation. We appreciate you taking the time to provide this detailed feedback.

Wonderful Location!

We so enjoyed our stay in Gearheart, Oregon! This vacation rental was comfortable, had everything we needed, and we walked to the beach at least 2x per day. We were mere steps from the best restaurant local bakery, and tapas/beverage spot! We will stay here again!
