Lovely home and location. Beautiful views and location close to downtown Fernandia and beaches . Many trendy restaurants and stores nearby. Much to do to enjoy the sun and fun !
Beautiful house on a picturesque piece of property!! Highly recommended if Amelia Island is your destination. Communication and tips from were a great edition to our stay. Fires by the water were a perelfect end to each day adventure.
House was very nice, enjoyed the dock and outdoor seating area. Huge trees and beautiful greenery. Host Alexis was very accommodating and took care of any issues immediately. It was a nice getaway and we would visit again :)
Great cabin on water nestled between live oak trees. House was as described with comfortable beds, linens and home amenities. Would definitely come back to this home!
We found the property as described. It was located at end of road so very private. Enjoyed the evenings sitting on dock and watching the sunset. House was picture perfect surrounded by huge beautiful trees with hanging moss. We wished we could have stayed longer than a week!
We so loved staying in this gorgeous home. The backyard and dock are peaceful, and we spent many hours just enjoying our time lounging under the gorgeous oak trees or out by the water. The home itself is equally as charming and is beautifully appointed with antique furniture and artwork. It seems each piece much have an interesting story behind it, and everywhere you look there is something beautiful to admire. The host also makes available lots of reading material (e.g., on Amelia Island, local birds, and a great selection of magazines), and even binoculars (which we used to get a better look at all of the birds in the marsh). We highly recommend this property! It’s pure magic.
Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed a long weekend at Alexis's cottage on the tidal creek. It was a windy, cool weekend (even for January), but we put on sweaters and found plenty to do outside, hiking nearby For McClinch and the beach, exploring historic downtown Fernandina, and enjoying several different dining options.
The cottage and surrounding landscape is even better than shown the photos (note fireplace has since been removed) and you get the sense that there is an interesting story behind each tastefully, carefully selected piece of furniture and art in the house.
Situated on a large waterfront lot near the end of a dead-end street and surrounded by trees (including some frut bearing citrus trees) provides a private, quiet "Old Florida" feeling.
I highly recommend this house and hope to come visit again someday.

Wonderful Stay!
4 of us girlfriends had a great getaway stay at Alexis’ beautiful home. We had all of the modern conveniences in a homey coastal cottage. Alexis surprised us with some sweet treats. The bedding, linen, furniture, etc., were quality pieces. More than enough glasses, dishes, flatware, etc. Strong WIFI enabled us to stay in touch with family, and the nice size TV made for fun Hallmark Holiday movie watching.
Thank you Alexis for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful home.
We had such a comfortable stay at this little gem of a house! Very thought through property from the decor to the comfortable beds. The hostess even left us pastries and coffee creamer (the one necessity I forgot). It was so relaxing to be in the house and on the property that we probably could have just stayed there the whole trip. Perfect location for visiting Cumberland Island and several really good restaurants within close proximity. The Hidden Crab and Down Under were both super close and really good. Would definitely stay here again!
Beautiful location, and the house itself was warm, comfortable and inviting. Host was very responsive and had prepared the property thoughtfully. We brought a couple of rods and caught 15 speckled trout off the dock in about 3 hours of fishing, so fun! There were 3 of us staying there but we entertained a few of my siblings over the long wedding weekend, all were very impressed by Oyster Reef. We'd go back again.
Alexis was amazing and very attentive. The house was so romantic for our son and new daughter in law the weekend after their marriage. The bridesmaids stayed and loved it the night before the wedding. The river view for pics and the dock for coffee or the dock for sunrise. Amazing and a special place!

Oyster Reef
Our stay at Oyster Reef was absolutely wonderful! The home is gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful. The dock offers awesome views at sunset. The home afforded all the accommodations we needed.
