The Silver Stag Chalet is an architecturally distinctive residence that offers luxury accommodation between two separate suites at Sun Peaks - British Columbia's premier four-season family resort. It is perfect for active or relaxed family holidays, reunions, business rentals or just a place to get away from it all at any time of year. The Silver Stag Chalet has a cozy cottage feel but with lots of space to spread out and enjoy the view of the mountains. Young families will be happy to know that there is a strict no smoking policy.

Situated on Sunburst Drive, the Silver Stag Chalet backs onto the forest and overlooks the Sun Peaks Golf Course and Mount Morrisey ski runs. The upper suite has 4 bedrooms, a den, large dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. You will enjoy an abundance of sunshine from your kitchen and living room with soaring ceilings and panoramic views. The lower suite has two bedrooms and a smaller but well equipped kitchen that is great for getting a little separation for some peace and quiet, or using both kitchens together to cook a marvellous feast for large groups.

In addition to winter activities such as skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, tubing and skating, Sun Peaks also offers numerous summer activities for outdoor enthusiasts including hiking, golfing, mountain biking, canoeing, and horseback riding. After a busy day of whatever you choose to do while at Sun Peaks, it is always nice to come back and relax in the 8 person hot tub with views of the golf course and ski runs.

We are a family chalet and love large gatherings but this is NOT a party house. If you are going to be respectful and take care of our house and treat it as your own, then we would love to have you. As a family chalet, we offer: high chair, packable crib, hiking backpack for toddlers and a container of toys upon request.

Came for our wedding weekend and the host was very accommodating and answered any question. The house was great for a big group, my only concern was that there weren’t a lot of towels with showering as well as using for the hot tub. Overall a great weekend.

The perfect place for families to gather for a ski trip. What a beautiful home! This place truly met and surpassed every expectation. We came in to a welcoming basket that had snacks and a beautiful bottle of wine. We love to cook, and this home was fully set up with everything we needed. The spice cupboard was full and there was more than sufficient cookware, glassware and dishes. Beds were very comfortable and there were lots of towels and washcloths. The hot tub was wonderful and was regularly serviced, even while we were there. We were able to access the owner easily and she was quick and accommodating in her replies. This was an all-around wonderful place to go with our family and we would highly recommend it.

Family Ski Vacation

We had a fantastic stay with our large family (9 adults, 6 kids). There was plenty of space for everyone, and all the amenities you could ask for. The location is perfect for easily getting to the lifts. The hosts were also very helpful throughout the booking process and during our stay - probably the best I’ve ever dealt with. Book the Silver Stag, your stay will be amazing! We’ll be back!

My husband and I grew up skiing and snowboarding Sun Peaks and spent a great many days with friends and family cruising the slopes, eating the local fare and soaking up all this great place has to offer. After a few years away, living and working down in the lower mainland, we have returned to Sun Peaks with our own kids to create more great memories. We love to host family and friends and want to share the Sun Peaks experience with everyone who can appreciate the great energy here.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with this property because of its warm and inviting feel, steps away from the slopes/hiking/biking. The large wood post and beams, vaulted ceiling and windows, 3 gas fireplaces, and unique design all help to make for great gatherings and memorable moments. We know that you will enjoy your stay here as much as we always do.

What makes this property unique

How many times do you get to host a large family gathering and everyone has a bed to sleep in. Silver Stag Chalet has the ability to sleep 10-12 adults very comfortably plus an extra room just for 4 of the kids to bunk together. You have two kitchens, two washer/dryers, two living rooms, two Super Nintendo consoles, one big hot tub and radiant floors in the bathrooms. Once you arrive you won't need to get back into your vehicle as you are walking distance to the village and lifts. And the best part is that you have room to spread out in the 3000 square foot home with a huge master bedroom with fireplace, walk-in closet, ensuite and kitchenette, as well as a separate suite below that has its own entrance.
