We would love to have you visit our secluded riverfront home in the heart of Mount Washington Valley. “Lost on the River” is a slice of heaven on the east branch of the Saco River. Situated on the end of a private road less than 10 minutes to North Conway, this is a wonderful “out of the way location, close to everything” in the middle of all the White Mountains have to offer – hiking, golf, Storyland, outlet shopping, skiing, snowmobiling, fly fishing or taking a refreshing dip in the river in front our house. This area is also home to some of the best motorcycle riding in all of New England.
Our cabin is perfect for couples and small families who enjoy the tranquility of a remote riverfront location yet appreciate the amenities of a fully functional house. It is clean and comfortable with many ‘little extras” – fireplace, full kitchen, washer/dryer, HDTV, DVD, Free WiFi, free telephone, stereo, gas grill, as well as a riverfront fire pit.
Your dog is welcome with prior approval and an additional $15/night pet fee.
NO HOUSEKEEPING FEE! We do not charge an additional housekeeping fee but ask our guest to bring their own sheets/towels (we provide bed coverings and pillows). We understand that this is not always feasible, so our caretakers can provide linens for an additional $75 fee and 7 day advance notice.
Summer and Fall: Start off your day with breakfast on the front porch overlooking the riverfront, pack a lunch and hike around nearby Mountain pond, come back and relax by the fire pit on the river, and then fall to sleep with the sound of the river outside your bedroom window…..

Can’t say enough about this cabin. We love staying here. It’s so peaceful, clean and well maintained. We love coming back here every time we stay in New Hampshire.
Cozy rustic cabin on a beautiful river - this is our third time staying here and we love it. Close to everything North Conway has to offer, but in a secluded, beautiful location where you can hear the river from the home. Fully stocked kitchen, games, washer and dryer. Great place with easy access to surrounding ski resorts, hiking, Storyland, and restaurants. Can’t wait to return!
The host was very helpful. Everything that we needed was provided. The location is perfect. You are completely isolated yet only 5 minutes from the center of North Conway and 10 minutes from the center of Jackson. We would love to stay again next year.
This is a great spot to stay for a ski weekend. Brenda was very nice and communicative, the location is excellent for skiing and it feels private. I will say that the shower is in need of some updating, but other than that it was a cozy cabin with charm and I’d definitely look at staying there again the next time I am in the North Conway area.
The place was a home away from home. My son and I enjoyed out quiet winter experience and wooden stove to keep us warm at night. Great place to keep to yourself.
This cabin is a warm, welcoming "home away from home." While it feels like its very rural it's actually close to all needs: restaurants, grocery stores, entertainment. The Host checked in with us when we arrived and was quick to reply to our correspondence. Although we had to leave early (due to a conflict in our schedule) we are already planning our return. We highly recommend this cabin experience to everyone. .
Every time we stayed at the property everything's been very good experience. Unfortunately this year due to my wife's health condition we were unable to complete our stay. The hosts have been fantastic and I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in New Hampshire
I’ve stayed here several times now and I’m always satisfied with the communication the owner provides before and during our stay! The cabin is always a pleasant place to stay and enjoy just sitting back! Will be back soon and definitely recommend this beautiful place!
We stayed at the end of November and it gave such a great Christmas vibe! Cabin was decorated for Christmas, snow on the ground, fireplace roaring and a trip to Santa's Village. Was a great memory we made!!
Ohhhh the lovely sensation of melting into the comfy chairs, feet warm from the crackling fire and listening to the utter silence, broken only by the occasional shifting of the fireplace logs or the gurgle of the creek. Snowshoeing along the river path, fresh snow sifting down made our cheeks rosy. Then it was time for more dozing by the fire. The cabin was just what we needed to rest and restore. Back home now, we catch each other gazing into the distance, bodies here, minds back at the cozy cabin by the river.
Quaint cabin, very private at the end of the road. Communication with the owner was very easy and instructions were detailed and clear. It a was a lovely stay and we enjoyed it very much.
What more can we say! This was our 3rd stay at this beautiful, inside and out, cabin and we will be back. Loved our Autumn stay this time . So beautiful, peaceful , and relaxing just hanging out at the cabin by the river and close to fun outdoor activities and great food n drink. Cabin has everything we need. Its perfection!
Lost on the River cabin is a secluded accommodation yet close to everthing you might need. We were here in the fall and it was beautiful. It is obviously a family home and some amenities could do with an update. The heating worked well and with the log fire we were always warm enough. As previous guests have said the lighting could be better.
The cabin on the river was very welcoming and relaxing. The listing was accurately described and the check in through check out was flawless and simple.

About the host

We live on Cape Cod and met about 18 years ago. We were married at this property in 2010. In 2011 we became custodial grandparents to 2 beautiful girls (2 & 7), and now do not have the opportunity to visit as often as we used to..... So we have decided to share our property with others who will appreciate the very special location.
Why they chose this property
We knew we wanted to buy in the North Conway area, and had been looking at a lot of 'cookie cutter' houses.... Our 1st priority was location - even if we had to build. When the realtor drove us up to this house, we both knew the second we stepped out of the car we had found what we were looking for!! And the fact that we had a fully functioning house was a dream come true!!! We are sure that you will feel the same!!
