Location was good for going to Baddeck, Cabot Trail, and Louisburg. Make sure you take Kempt Head Rd. Our GPS had us take another Rd that was not in good condition.

Thank you, Doug. I'm so sorry the GPS took you to the south side of the island. Even though Kempt Head Road isn't great closer to the cottage, it certainly is in better condition. I'm glad that you enjoyed your stay. And thank you also for leaving the place is such good condition. It's certainly appreciated. Thanks again, Wilma
Walking into this cottage was just like arriving home -- you immediately felt welcome & relaxed. It was very clean & arranged so that everything needed was very handy. I loved having an organized binder provided by the host which gave all needed info; covered everything from recycling particulars to the best area restaurants. If we travel this way again, we will definitely stay here, but for longer. I'm not sure I would ever get tired of the beautiful lake views, both from inside the cottage & from the deck.

Thank you, Karen, for your glowing review. It's wonderful to know others enjoy the cottage as much as my sister and I do. And, yes, if you come this way again, we would be thrilled to have you stay. Cheers, Wilma
View was outstanding. Quiet with a couple restaurants about 20 minutes away. Host responded quickly to enquiries. Cottage apparently acquired fairly recently and owners have plans to update which it needs. Very much a family cottage which is charming but could use a little "neutralizing"...fewer personal things. Also removal of items that don't work which I understand is the plan. I will say though that the host provides any cooking item a vacationer could possibly want plus she had butter, seasonings, tea, etc. available for use. We definitely enjoyed ourselves and I can see things will only improve when updates are completed. Will take some time.
