"The Smithy" light, sunny and spacious studio space with a private courtyard.
'The Smithy," once a blacksmith shop is behind a private home. It is a bit quirky but flooded with sunlight. A heat pump is on the wall to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer months. French doors lead to a private shady courtyard where guests can relax after riding or walking the Hauraki Rail Trails which begin 200 metres down the road. Adjacent to the front door is an off-road parking space. The Smithy also offers the convenience of a three-minute stroll to the supermarket, restaurants and Paeroa's famous antique shops. Alongside tea and coffee making facilities is an oven, and hotplate if you wish to cook your own meals.

This cottage lovely character from its early life as a blacksmiths workshop. But has been renovated to have everything we needed with such charm and style. We loved the homeliness, and feel and would definitely stay again. It is a perfect location to town where you can walk ti the domain, restaurants and shops. Thank you!
Property is within walking distance to shops, cafes, and restaurants. It also has enough amenities for a longer stay so you can prepare your own meals if you don't want to eat out all the time.
The property has a good internet connection. I was able to do some remote work (video calls, etc) without any issues.
The Paeroa section of the Hauraki Rail Trail is within walking distance and you pass a bike rental shop on the way there. The trail is nice for walks or you can take a bike up to the gorge.
The hosts are kind and considerate. This was my first time in Paeroa and I felt very welcome.
We loved our stay here, the hosts were super friendly and accomodating. The space was even better than we imagined, so relaxing, tidy and a very cool, trendy vibe! The hosts even provided complimentary breakfast :) highly recommend!!
We had such a lovely stay here. Alison was so accommodating and the place was clean and cosy. Would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend. :)
