Quaint railway cottage with train memorabilia. Its an olden day cottage but all modern comforts we needed, air con tv etc. Clean modern bathroom and adequate kitchen. Great spot right next to train station and rail trail it was fun sitting on the front porch with the dog, waving to the kids on the train and cyclists going by. Plenty of off street parking and a big fenced yard for the dog. Friendly management. Would stay again.
Lovely historical cottage, cosy and a wonderful part of history. Location is fabulous if doing the Hauraki Rail Trail (outside the door) and/or catching the train to/from Waikino. Took our dog, not fully fenced but still loves it.
The cottage was charming, clean and comfortable. The location was perfect, , a welcome sight at the end of the trail and an easy 15 min walk to the main street. A shed to lock up the bikes was a bonus.
Property was exactly as listed and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.
Love all the things that the area has to offer such as the Rail Trail, Train, Waihi Beach.
Location to town was excellent and we completed many walks around town and the area, enjoyed short car rides to Pareoa, Whangamata, Onemana and Katikati.
Thanks.
We had a lovely time at the cottage. The beds were comfortable and the cottage had a homely feel. We were able to relax and feel at home. Thanks very much
Sadly, there was no hot water and no one available to remedy this situation. So we had no showers
As we were only staying one night I was surprised to be asked to vacuum the place but we did as requested. The property was as advertised and if we had running hot water, it would have been worth the cost, but due to this failure we would like half our money back $110.00 back.
Host was unaware that we had booked despite having booked a few months prior. There was hair in one of the beds which made us question whether the sheets had been changed. Black mould in the shower. Very tired and in need of serious updating. Spend some money on matching cutlery and crockery as there was a real mismatch of old cups and plates. Carpets looked new.
