Fleurieu Eco Escape - Luxurious, Stylish, Cosy and Clean Hideaway
Feel your stresses melting away as you arrive into our unique village. As soon as you arrive at your north facing Fleurieu Eco Escape, you will start to smile and relax. Walk up your own path through the beautiful garden into your haven.
The super comfortable queen size bed has high quality sheets and a king size duvet to snuggle under. Lots of thoughtful extras will make your life easier and your stay so much more enjoyable. You will find electric blankets, bedside lights and chocolates on your pillow plus more! You’ll love our breakfast provisions that are provided to cover the first few days of your visit. These include 3 types of milk (cow, oat and almond), eggs from our own chickens and jam. We have a Nespresso pod machine and a plunger; we understand how important good coffee is! Gluten Free crunchy granola, Carmens Porridge, cornflakes, Weetbix and hot chocolate are also offered.
We built this place using passive solar design; windows, walls, floors and shading are designed to collect, store, reflect, and distribute solar energy, in the form of heat in the winter and reject solar heat in the summer to make it more comfortable to live in whilst using less energy. Hot water and power all come from the sun and we have rainwater (fully filtered). Your room is north facing and has lots of thermal mass from handmade earth bricks and sandstone floor tiles; these help to regulate the temperature without using energy; ceiling fan and reverse cycle air conditioning are available.
Please note that whilst you have a separate path and entrance, you share an internal wall with our family home; this is not a stand alone property and some daily living noises may be heard at times during the day.
Wander though our stunning, sleepy village; marvel at the many different styles of houses and gardens and, throughout your stay and enjoy the different birds. Strongly No smoking - extra $500 cleaning fee will be charged if you do; sadly we have been burned in the past

A gorgeous little place - very clean and great attention to detail. Jacqui was amazing to communicate with, even before I actually booked my stay and always replied to any questions very quickly.I'd highly recommend staying here!
Jacqui looked after us very well and her eco stay is perfect for a couple wanting to explore the Fleurieu coast. Cloae to shops and a short drive to the beach. Highly recommended.
Jacqui sent me a welcoming email with lots of great information. The place was comfortable, clean and felt like home for our three nights there. Additional amenities like beach towels, breakfast foods were highly appreciated. Would love to come back!! A jem of a place with lots to see and do.
The accommodation was so lovely for two people, it was well equipped clean and comfortable. The garden was beautiful, sitting outside in the morning and evening listening to the birds. The eco village was really interesting to take walks around in the evening. We had a really enjoyable stay and Jacqui was lovely
Jacqui made us feel welcome, spending time with us sharing her enthusiasm about the location in answer to our queries. Comfortable bed. A great range of breakfast foods and general pantry items. We enjoyed sitting outside in the sun with our breakfast, enjoying the garden and birdlife.
Compact, easlly managed for a couple, walking distance to several restaurants and cafés, also supermarket. Short drive to larger shopping centre, beaches, McLaren Vale wineries and restaurants
Staying in this beautiful studio and the surrounding eco village was a delight, extremely clean, thoughtfully appointed and delicious fresh bread delivered on arrival, Jacqui was the perfect host.
The studio was clean and well equipped. It’s in a great location within a walk to Aldinga village and a short drive to McLaren Vale. Breakfast provisions were generous and delicious. Thanks Jacqui, we loved our stay!

Julie and Geoff were a delight to host; great communication and friendly and willing to connect. The left the space in an amazing condition! So clean and tidy and organised; so much appreciated. I’d be thrilled to host them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to other hosts ☺️
The accommodation was as advertised. The complimentary Dukkah was amazing and the room and bathroom were modern, clean and well presented. Little touches from communication with the host, the quality of breakfast yet total privacy were welcome. So convenient to a bike track into Aldiga Village and shops and the beach but the eco village itself seems a little world of its own and a pleasure to walk around. Very good value. No TV but the wifi was excellent.

I love making my guests feel super special and oh-so-spoiled. We built here in the Eco Village in 2008 and it's been a great place to bring up my son; it truly is a piece of heaven on earth. I now live about 5 mins away (my son lives in the building adjacent to your studio). I look forward to making your stay everything that you want it to be. I'm not always around so please feel free to message me with any quesitons.
Why they chose this property
We built here in 2008 and it truly is a piece of heaven on earth. We are an 'intentional community' which means we intend to know the other people living here and we do! It's so lovely to walk around the village and smile and chat to others. It's so quiet and safe; we love it!
