The interior is very nice, the beds comfy and the views spectacular! The kitchen is the best equipped kitchen we have experienced at a VRBO. In short, the place is lovely and we would recommend and stay again.

Second time around!

This was our second stay and it was just as relaxing as the first time. We brought more family with us and they were amazed at the beautiful views. The house is large enough to give everyone some space, but so cozy and welcoming that we really just wanted to spend time together in the sunroom. The drive was easy, the location perfect without crowds or close neighbors, and the house was well-stocked and clean!

This was our third stay so I failed to read the property description because we’d been twice before. We were disappointed to find that not all bedrooms were accessible. We hope this changes in the future as it can no longer accommodate our family :(

Great home for two families

The Fox Den was a great home for our family of 8. It has all of the amenities that you need for a comfortable stay and is centrally located to many area activities. A short 30 minute drive to Monarch for skiing and snowmobiling makes a great location. Our kiddos loved the game room and all of the board games available to them. Coffee in the sunroom was our favorite and star gazing from that room was also phenomenal. All in all a great home! We will be back!

Great views and location!

This house was perfect for our weekend getaway! Their use of space and windows made it so easy to enjoy the amazing views. We had everything we needed, including games, utensils, plenty of beds and space, and even a dartboard and foosball table in the basement. There were 5 bedrooms, including a bunk room in the basement, so plenty of space for a large group, plus a kid-sized table and nook with games and books. One drawback is a small kitchen, but the rest of the house makes up for it! We were an easy drive to Mt. Princeton Hot Springs, Buena Vista, or Salida. Would definitely return to this great place!

Mostly good but some issues

We didn't get driving directions and WAZE was incorrect so it took a while to find the property. I would suggest the owners send. Also, the grill was disgusting. A piece of meat was left on and it hadn't been cleaned. Lastly, you shouldn't ask guests to strip beds after charging a cleaning fee.

We were frustrated with our stay we arrived on Christmas to a beeping smoke detector. It was difficult to find anything open to find replacement batteries. Very little back up items in the home. Tried to make contact with the owners about a left item. Never heard back from them.

Spectacular

I have used VRBO many times and have had some disappointments. Not in this case...the views were ever changing and spectacular. No TV required here! At the Fox Den, you can tell you are staying in someones home rather than their rental property. There is everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and the furnishings are lovely throughout the home. We were 3 couples getting away from the August heat of the East Coast and spent a good bit of our time on the back porch soaking up the views. Plenty of space for some alone time as well as great common space with lots of room to spread out. The location is great for many different outings. I will recommend the property and probably be a return guest. Owners were very responsive. Thanks for sharing your beautiful Colorado home!

Amazing view and accommodations!

We rented the house for a girl’s long weekend and couldn’t have been happier. The house is as described. Comfortable beds, clean, and a lovely sun/family room with an amazing view of the mountains. The house is located mid-way between Buena Vista and Salida and there is plenty to do. Over the course of 3 days we enjoyed one of several nearby hot springs, hiked, and spent time in Salida. We also just soaked up the warmth of the house… cooking, laughing and just hanging out. We would definitely come again.

Incredible views

We loved this place! The owners were really accommodating and allowed us to push our dates back after illness ran through our family during our original dates. I've stayed at lots of VRBO's and this kitchen was by far the best stocked-had everything you could think of and more! The furniture was very comfortable (we didn't use the downstairs since it was just the 3 of us) and the décor was perfect for the setting. I was very pleased that the Christmas tree was left up! There is a semi-constant humming noise in the maser bedroom; it took me a while to realize that it is the radon mitigation system, which is VERY common in Colorado homes. You can't beat the views at this place! Even my father, who generally is only away for 6-8 hours/day, stayed awake all day looking out, he even asked if we could stay an extra night. Fun to watch the wild turkeys in the day and great star watching at night. Very quiet neighborhood, but easy to get to. Our google maps took us right to the house. I'm already hoping to go back:)

Beautiful and serene setting

This home met our expectations, it was situated on beautiful acreage with Mountain Views. It was in a perfect location for skiing at Monarch Mountain. We had plenty of room and it was a great experience for our family outing.
