Summary: Beautiful space, perfect for couples & families, thoughtfully designed with local art 4 bedrooms, 2 en-suite bathrooms, 3 total. The house is a great escape from the city while being centrally located. Have a cocktail in the shared courtyard, take advantage of free passes to the boxing club with work out space just down the block. House is located steps from the Lafitte greenway bike path. Whole Foods is 1 block away and neighborhood is filled with local restaurants, character and Nola charm.
The Space: This house is unique and beautiful. The living room features tons of local art, bar area, and new modern design and furniture. Full kitchen has dine in table, full stove, fridge, and any cooking utensils needed. The bedrooms are shot-gunned, with the first featuring a queen bed and en-suite bathroom, the second has a full bed, mini fridge and en-suite bathroom, the third has a queen bed, fold out single if needed, mini fridge and separate entrance, the fourth has a full bed, mini fridge, and separate entrance. All have wall mounted TV's, additionally there is a full bathroom (not connected to any bedrooms) and washer and dryer. There is a large shared courtyard with outside seating and bar.
(Shot-Gun Style homes are the most common style of architecture in New Orleans. It means that you must walk through one bedroom to get to the next.)
-This home is located 2 blocks away from the Endymion Parade route. Endymion is the largest mardi gras parade of the year and takes place the Saturday of Mardi Gras weekend.
Guest Access: The building itself, is broken up into 3 units, but this unit has private entrance in both the front and back of the house. You will have exclusive access to the whole first-story apartment, the beautiful courtyard below with built-in-bar is a shared space with a long-term tenant, owner, and possible other guests in a different house. If you have additional guests and are interested in booking the upstairs 2-bedroom unit, please inquire!
The Neighborhood: We love living in Mid-City! Vibrant, full of character and lots of local restaurants. It is very walkable, or a less then 10 minute drive to the French quarter and other tourist attractions. The house is right next to a bike path that will take you either to city park or the French quarter, Whole Foods is just a block away. 1/2 block down is a world famous boxing gym (free day passes included in reservation) that also has additional work out equipment for your use. Mid-City has it all, local flavor, while still being centrally located!
Getting Around: There are bike rental kiosks near by, the street car is just a few blocks away. There is also plenty of free street parking, or Uber and Lyft are easy affordable options as well.
Other Things to Note: Per New Orleans City requirements, this contains a decibel monitoring device. The device is located in a common area and not in any bedroom or bathroom.
A shotgun style home is traditional in the South. It means rooms are directly connected without hallways with one room directly behind the other.

We enjoyed our stay and it was close to everything. We did not expect 2 of the rooms to be conjoined/common area but they still had good space. The water pressure was very low but understood with the age of the house. Thank you
We had a great time here. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy and it was often very loud at night, but the house itself was awesome and slept me and my 6 students very comfortably. Management was awesome and quickly responsive every time I reached out. We would stay there again.

We came to New Orleans to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We were excited to see the French Quarter and chose this listing for its proximity to it. We were happy with the house. It slept all six of us comfortably. The neighborhood was vibrant and like I stated earlier it was really easy to get to the sights we wanted to see.
Nice property biggest issue was with the bar across the street we didnt know about, it seemed to come alive as we were going to bed. Property was clean, beds could use to be replaced with new mattresses but overall would stay there again

It was spacious and clean, close to everything. There is a whole foods and a spanish market in walking distance. A bike path just around the corner and the trolley a couple blocks down. I was nervous about the neighborhood but i should not have been. Everyone was lovely and it made for a wonderful visit. 4 bedrooms for four ladies helped!

We were 1/3 of LP Ultimate, a Legends (really old) Ultimate Frisbee team from MN playing in the 10th Fire on the Bayou tourney. We wanted a location not far from City Park where we would play 2-3 games each of Sat/Sun, and not far from downtown/warehouse District/French quarters for good NOLA fun. Although the neighborhood had a somewhat dicey appearance we had no problems, felt secure. 3 showers were a plus, Winn Dixie was right around the corner, a good bagel shop 2 blocks another direction. The floor plan is a bit funky with two of the bedrooms also being pass-throughs to other bedrooms, but that was basically bonus character. If the location looks good for your needs, and your numbers make the price fit your budget, go for it.
