About this property

Hidden Valley Homestead | Great for Couples, Free Green Line Shuttle

The Hidden Valley Homestead is the perfect condo for couples looking for a Mammoth getaway! This condo is located in a private and quiet neighborhood off of Lake Mary Road, within walking distance to the Village. The Village has shops, restaurants, bars, and a gondola to the Canyon Lodge. Golfing, hiking, and biking trails are also nearby. There is a shuttle stop (free service) where the green line shuttle travels to and from the Eagle Lodge and the Village.

The living room is furnished with a sofa sleeper (with a very comfortable memory foam mattress), flat screen TV, and cozy pellet fireplace. Light up the fireplace and grab some hot cocoa after a long day on the mountain! The fireplace is highly efficient and heats up the whole unit, great for the cold winter nights. From here, you can access the balcony, where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the crisp mountain air.

Steps away is the kitchen, equipped with a drip coffee maker, toaster, blender, electric stovetop, and more. Cook up delicious homemade meals and gather around the dining table for 4.

When it's time to call it a night, rest easy in the King bedroom. The full bathroom has a shower/tub combo.

Hidden Valley offers 2 outside parking spots, an indoor and outdoor hot tub, 2 saunas, and 2 laundry facilities. The pool, BBQ station, and fish cleaning station are only open during the summer.

Property was clean but view was blocked by wooden panel.
Property windows were covered with wooden Panel. So there was no view and i felt like i was staying in the cage. The property was clean but used too much chemical so we had to open the door over 1 hour. TV was not working and no instruction was available.

Our Worst Mammoth Condo Stay!
My wife and I have stayed in condos in Mammoth for many, many years. We have stayed in various units at Hidden Valley many times and like that particular property. This unit was very problematic in several respects: 1. Too much stuff in the kitchen (TWO toasters? Multitudes of glasses, coffee cups, bowls, placemats for a condo that sleeps four?) How about you get rid of some of this stuff and make room for your guests' food storage? 2. Dirty pots and pans and silverware - visibly greasy. 3. When we moved the armchair and couch a bit, a ton of dirt and debris beneath them, including food debris. Don't they clean here? No vacuum cleaner here either. 4. Overall shabby interior that needs updating - bathroom, kitchen, wall art. 5. Could not figure out how to get the cable TV to work. Glad I bought the firestick. 6. WiFi internet painfully slow. The biggest problem was that some idiot (not us!) left some plastic item (and other stuff) in the oven, and when we preheated the oven to make a frozen pizza, we had a meltdown and a fire! There was toxic burning, smoking plastic. This could have been a serious emergency but I was able to put it out with some water. But what a mess! After putting out the fire I started cleaning the oven and then thought the better of it. I called the management company (Grand Welcome Mammoth) who did not send someone to clean it up until the next day. Because there was melted plastic all over the oven racks, they decided to take the racks out somewhere to clean them. They did not return them for two days. So here we have a condo with a kitchen which is what we rented, so we could cook in our unit, except now we have no oven racks and when we turn on the oven it lets out stinky smoke. Eventually the smoke stopped but it was ridiculous for them to take two days to return the racks. We complained about this and the management company, Grand Welcome Mammoth, offered us a pittance for our troubles. I told them this was like a slap in the face. Well a week later, they offered three times their initial offer, which I accepted to put this behind me. Overall this was just a bad experience and I certainly would not recommend this unit, stay here again, or stay at any property managed by Grand Welcome Mammoth! They don't maintain the place well, and their customer service was horrid. If I was the owner I would not use that property manager at all.

Cozy condo close to the Village
My husband and I enjoyed the cozy nature of this condo and its close location to the Village. We found the kitchen well stocked with appliances, cookware, and dinnerware. We also really liked the pellet stove that kept the home warm.
