Tugun Beach House - Pet Friendly & Perfect for Families!

Tugun Beach House is the ultimate family friendly holiday home, located only steps from the golden sands of Tugun Beach.

The house is spread over two levels and comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 living areas.

The lower-level features one bedroom with queen bed, second bedroom with single bunk beds, bathroom with walk in shower and laundry with washing machine and dryer.

There is a casual living room with Smart TV, perfect for the kids after a long day at the beach. There is also a lovely courtyard area so you can relax outdoors in comfort on windy days!

The upper-level features master bedroom with king bed and ceiling fan and second bedroom with queen bed and ceiling fan.

The main bathroom is very spacious and features an indulgent corner spa bath and shower plus separate toilet.

The upstairs loungeroom is comfortably furnished, with large flat screen smart TV and has both ceiling fan and reverse cycle air-conditioning for year-round comfort.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and entertain on holidays including dishwasher, coffee machine, oven, microwave, cooktop, fridge/ freezer and plenty of bench and storage space.

There is a indoor dining area that seats 6, or enjoy alfresco dining on the balcony overlooking Tugun Beach. This is the ideal spot to check the surf in the morning, enjoy our stunning Gold Coast sunrises and sunsets and watch the skyline light up at night.

Tugun Beach House is literally steps from one of the Gold Coast’s most beautiful beaches and only 50m from Tugun Surf Club, with the beach in front regularly patrolled.

Its also located in the heart of Tugun Village, which offers a range of cafes, restaurants and shops. You can leave the car at home, everything you need is within a couple minutes’ walk.

Tugun Beach House is pet friendly on application, so your dog can join you while you relax on holidays! Maximum of 2 dogs are allowed (no cats or other pets permitted). Dogs must not be left at the property unattended and all attempts must be made to minimise barking.

Follow the Oceanway path north to Currumbin / Palm Beach and enjoy the great off leash dog park and beach

Tugun Beach House offers one driveway parking space, the garage is unavailable for guest use.

Linen is not provided at this property. Holiday properties are equipped with blankets/ doonas and pillows and protectors, however please remember to bring your own personal linen including sheets, pillow cases, towels and tea towels. Amazing location!

We had a wonderful stay - I’ll remember to take our portable Nespresso machine with us next time although a great coffee shop at the Tugun SL Club was a great substitute!!

Great family get away spot

Close to beach with plenty of space in the unit for the whole family. Lovely spot for walking and great that we could have our dog with us.

Great location for a family wedding

Met our requirements for an extended family to stay for a long weekend and attend a hinterland wedding. Other guests were located close by as well. Great location next to the beach and easy access to restaurants etc.

The location of the property is fantastic, but for the price you pay for the house linen should definitely be provided, caravan parks are a fraction of this price and provide towels, sheets and tea towels at no extra cost. The house needs some maintenance, balcony off the main room railings are rusted and broken, kick board in upstairs bathroom has water damage, bath handles worn, toaster only one side worked, carpet could use a deep clean or remove carpet from pet friendly accommodation all together, window frames have black mould, ceiling fans dusty, tv table covered in cup stains. Being pet friendly the courtyard needs a grassed area, remove the raised garden beds and add grass. I would say the cost of the property needs to be reduced or maintenance done and linen provided to make it worth it.

Not Pet Friendly

Nice house, fantastic location , but not dog friendly. There was no dog gate to stop dogs going up stairs had to barricade stairway. No grass area just pavers, had to take dogs to the toilet on a public walk way, which made it harder when it rained. Upstairs had dog hair every where and smells like dogs. One bedroom was unusable due to unsafe bunkbeds. This would be fantastic for family's with no pets.

We advertise the property showing all aspects including the paved courtyard. With the beach being right there on your door step most guests would chose to take there dogs there to exercise them. We understand it may have been difficult with the rain we have been receiving. In regards to the smell you've mentioned I will have the cleaner investigate and arrange any professional carpet cleaning that might be needed and also inspect the bunk beds. Family Catchup

This was an excellent property for us. Small children could walk to the beach. IGA, baker, surf club, pharmacy and tavern all within short walk at Tugun. Very quiet with great outlook.

AMAZING location, but wasn't perfect

As noted in listing, linen isn't included. They work with a company you have to engage separately, and for us it increased cost by [a large percentage - Stayz apparently prevents me saying how much]. Clearly disclosed in listing, but so much more hassle and makes it harder to compare properties. Their Terms and Conditions require you to do their "online check-in" process. This requires you to upload your licence and credit card into a non-secure platform. It stores images of documents rather than hashes, and it indicates that staff have access to the images. Otherwise you have to give them [a lot of money - again I'm not allowed by Stayz to say how much] and they tell you nothing about how they decide to give it back to you or not. Those T&C weren't obvious prior to booking, but get highlighted clearly in an email that you get after you've committed to the property. There's a bunch of other stuff in there, like apparently they could cancel your listing if the owner decides to sell the property after you booked. Oh and if they are trying to sell you would have to let people come through for inspections! The location is amazing, as good as you can get if you want to stay in Tugun, although Tugun is a quiet little place right next to the airport. We have family there so was perfect for us. Right next to the beach, the Surf Club, and other shops etc. Bedrooms were very small. We got them to set up portacots in the two biggest rooms for us, and when we arrived we couldn't close the door of one of the bedrooms with the spot they set up the portacot. In the end there was no place you could fit the cot and the other furniture all in the room so that the door could close. Had to move all furniture other than the bed and cot into the living room. Firstly - we booked this property because there weren't many options available, and normally we would have booked something a bit more modern/with a bit more creature comfort. As such, our rating somewhat reflects the fact that we didn't pick a property well suited to us. Secondly - that T&C stuff impacts our rating but you might not care, and it's not technically an issue with the property but with the management of it. I must say, by the way, everyone at Goldcoast Holiday Homes (the Manager) was courteous and amazing to deal with, and they helped us organise late check-out (because the standard requirement is that you be out by 9:30AM - ouch!)

Perfect family location

Settled in a sleepy section of the Gold Coast, this Tugan property is hard to beat. Being so close to the beach allowed access to the waves on a whim, while others stayed home to rest. Kitchen stocked with little touches to make our stay warm. Our little black Pug loved the facilities and the waves - this accommodation is the perfect, sleepy, family getaway.
