Mareazul is a first world vacation rental concept "Resort Living". Located only 3 km from Playa del Carmen all units are beach accessible.
Mareazul Resort has a huge Infinity pool, with Jacuzzi sections, and is less than 200 meters walk through green path walks and pools that would take you to Mareazul beach.
The resort amenities are among others *Gym with dressing and lockers area, *massage rooms, Zen zone areas to read and relax, Lobby, convenience store, concierge front desk, just a short walk to an 18 Holes Golf Course designed by Nick Price, (additional cost). Massive open spaces for walking and exercise all around the resorts.

location is great but you need a car

pool was great and the suite was clean and good. Would have been nice to know that a car is essential here as shopping close by does not exist and the restaurants are in poor shape. Constantly running out of the basics ie no glasses by 11am ??? no bread on two of the 4 days i was there no meat on the 2nd day.... the staff are nice but they do not have the tools needed to run this size locations. going into town is a must and the taxis are way over priced in comparrison to the rest of mexico.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was exactly as it was advertised. The room was nice and clean, full amenities and even some extras that we didn’t think about, like a beach buggy carrier and a car seat for a little one(we didn’t need it but it was there). Don’t underestimate the value of the third bathroom with a large family, which even has an extra shower. The pool was perfect for cooling off and relaxing after being out about town or on the beach. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The security was excellent and you always felt safe. Our kids had a great time as well and were able to navigate through the property with ease. The property itself, not the room, could use a little TLC in some places but honestly it’s just an aesthetic thing and doesn’t affect the mood. Our main tip: rent a car. The taxi service is good but it gets expensive, average is 16$-17$ into town each way, but the system they use to determine how much they charge is strange. For instance if you go to a popular activity it will cost nearly 2 and a half times what it costs to go into town even if it’s nearly equal distance. So renting a car actually saves money. Xcaret is overrated and expensive for what you get. Trattoria Del Centri in town has amazing Italian and the pizza is near perfect( that’s high praise from people in the northeast of the country). Nicolette is over hyped and the food is meh. There’s great “hole in the wall” spots so don’t be afraid to try some. Walmart in town has all the essentials at reasonable prices and with a full kitchen we took advantage in order to save time and money. The restaurants on the premises have surprisingly good food and the staff is friendly and accommodating. This particular unit, 702S is in a prime spot as it’s close to the entrance of the property and just far enough from the noise of the restaurants and pool. All in all, this place was a very good spot and well worth the price. BTW, I&
