LOCATION - 7 blocks north of Main Street
HOSTS - Private guesthouse to yourselves
SLEEPS - Up to 4 people; king bedroom & the second bedroom has 2 twin beds
BATH - 2 baths; both have walk-in showers
KITCHEN - Fully-equipped kitchen with Keurig Coffeemaker
BREAKFAST - No breakfast provided. Coffee and teas are left for you.
AMENITIES - WiFi, large smart TV with cable, hot tub, fire pit, front and back porch with outdoor seating, washer & dryer

PETS - YES (limit 2, must be crated in owner's absence)

Up to two dogs are allowed but there is an additional nightly pet fee of $27/dog/night (before tax). Due to the fact that HomeAway/VRBO does not allow us to charge for more than one dog at the time of booking, please let us know if you will be bringing more than one dog, so that we can make sure that you are charged the correct amount. If you bring more than one dog and do not let us know, you will be charged accordingly. Furthermore, please bring crates for your dogs and crate them in your absence from the house, do not allow the dogs on furniture or beds, and pick up and properly dispose of their waste. If these rules are not followed, there will be an additional $200 charge added to your reservation.

Lux in the Hill Country

I felt like I was staying at a luxurious spa. The house was welcoming and very clean. The beds were really comfy, and the amenities like the rain shower and the hot tub were an added benefit.

Very nice home, clean, pretty, quiet.

We enjoyed our stay. It stormed most of the weekend so didn’t get to enjoy backyard hot tub or grill etc. but beautiful home and very clean. Does need a new shower head in master bathroom so we used guest room shower. But overall a nice place and we would stay again and would recommend to friends.

Great little spot just a 10 min walk from Main Street

Super-clean and nicely-built home. Tastefully furnished and with upgraded bathrooms. We enjoyed the hot tub on a couple of nights.

Family Fun!

Our family loved our stay at Hackberry Haus! The location is fantastic and the house is very clean and comfortable. The backyard is an oasis! The hot tub is a welcome retreat after a fun day of dining and shopping on Main Street. We look forward to returning to Hackberry Haus on our next visit to Fredricksburg!

Hill Country Getaway

The property was perfect for our stay in Fredericksburg. The interior was clean, bright, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The exterior had the charm of the area. The outer walls are made of the Austin Stone that is so prevalent in the surrounding area. Unfortunately it was too hot during our stay to enjoy the backyard

Labor Day Weekend

Overall the interior of this property is very nice. The master bath toilet continued to need repair over the weekend and the dryer did not heat. The outside of the property needs work as there are dead plants and the patio furniture is for the most part broken. There is also no complete back yard fence, so if you are bringing your dogs, you need to be aware of that. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

We returned for a second stay at this property this year. We like the property. Feels fairly new and always clean. Beds are great. Giant tv. Neighbors are quiet. No barking dogs. Peaceful. Only 1 needed improvement. The front door is 50% glass. And has a tiny old fashioned covering that give's zero night time privacy. So that would really be nice if something could be installed for privacy. Everything else is just fine. We have stayed with this property manager for over 18 years. Bob E. Dallas Texas

Great little house in a quiet part of town!! No surprises from the photos to the actual product!! Best rental I have ever had off the internet!! The rental company did a good job sending me the info I needed in a timely way — not overloading my inbox with a bunch of ads for their services. Thanks for providing a solid product without all the hype. We would definitely return for another visit!! One suggestion: amber lightbulbs do not add character, just bad lighting!! Especially over the bathroom vanity!!

Darling house! Super cozy and loved the layout. I would suggest putting up towel hooks in the left bedroom and also somewhere to hang clothes as all the rods in closet were missing. There was also a cabinet door in kitchen that one of the hinges came off the track so we didn't mess with anything in there - to not mess up that door. Chlorine in the pool was really really strong. Made my skin itch and burned all our eyes. Is it emptied out for each booked stay? We really liked the backyard setup however mosquitos were horrible. Beds were very comfy and everyone slept good.

Haven on Hackberry

The property is very clean and an attractive, cozy house. Nice yard. We have absolutely nothing to complain about except pdrhaps no door on the master bath. We're just not that kind of friendly. It is really a lovely, well-stocked house.
