Quick impropmptu trip
Took my 3 teenage boys to this cabin for a quick ski trip. Cabin was perfect for us. My boys enjoyed the old school arcade game "like the ones dad used to play in ancient times". Beds were comfy, cabin was clean. Hot tub was a perfect spot go relax sore muscles after a fun day. Would definitely recommend and will keep in mind for future trips

Great mountain getaway...
My daughter and I stayed at the Bear Cub Cabin for a short ski getaway. The cabin was just as described. Rustic, charming and simple. Nothing fancy, but that wasn't expected. The cabin was very clean and stocked with most everything we needed. The hot tub is GREAT, with lots of jets and located right off the back door. Bring your own towels for the hot tub and some wood for the fireplace. Location is near perfect in Moonridge and close to Bear Mountain and golf course. Parking is up a small hill with room for two cars max and no street parking. Ideal for a small family... one couple and three kids max.

Great place to vacation
Clean, maintained, quite. 9/10 would stay there again. Only critique would be for the front and rear walk path to be better cleared of ice. A bit dangerous walking the steps or going out the back door to the jacuzzi. Ice melt over the gutters onto the steps.

Our teams are on fixed routes for snow and work alongside city and county resources to clear roads, driveways, walkways etc. Guests should be prepared in winter months to shovel themselves in or out of the property and off of the street in these snowstorm events. As there is no street parking allowed in Big Bear it is extremely important that guests make every attempt to get vehicles off the street for the snowplows. California Law requires that vehicles traveling to Big Bear from November thru April have snow chains in their vehicles however we also recommend proper footwear, an emergency kit, and an extra snow shovel.
