Condo was not as clean as pictured. Walls were dirty, tub was dirty (we cleaned it as best as we could), shower curtain looked like it hasn’t been changed in years, bathrooms smelled like urine, porch was a mess and couldn't go on porch without shoes, sofa bed you could feel the metal bars through the mattress, remotes needed batteries. Pool was dirty everyday. Just disappointed when you want to get away for a vacation and can’t feel comfortable enough to relax.

We’ll address this with our housekeeping team and inspect the unit to ensure our cleaning standards are met. We appreciate the note about the sofa bed—we’ll use that feedback when assessing updates to the sleeping area. We’ll also have remotes checked and batteries replaced as needed, and follow up with the HOA pool maintenance to ensure regular cleaning. Weekend Getaway

We enjoyed our stay at the Salty Dog Retreat and our pup was excited to be along for the trip! Would definitely stay again in the future!

Small condo perfect for our short visit. Didn’t realize there were so many stairs though. Had my elderly aunts with me and made that difficult on them.

Salty dog Carolina Beach

The check in was so easy. Our room was on the top floor. I love that always. Place was clean and had extra pillows and blankets and lots of towels. The location was so close to Freeman Park. We had a great time there. The pool was clean. Nice chairs. No umbrellas is my only negative comment. WiFi worked as it should. Perfect for our pet too.

Vacation 2024

Great location. Nice condominium. Good neighborhood. Great pool location. Need to add a cookie sheet to the kitchen. Dryer vent was very full of old lint which we cleaned out and we cleaned the vacuum cleaner so we could use it. We left the condominium cleaner then when we first got there. The place was comfortable and homey.

The ocean view was only when you hang your head off the balcony and look left. The canal view was minute-in the distance. Condo was dated. Many steps to the third floor-not for the “out of shape” person. Not good for pets.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the amount of money I was charged for three days and two nights, this place was very disappointing. Everything was outdated. The pictures online are nothing like the actual thing: sliding back door was broken, the refrigerator inside door handle was broken. The one bedroom, the floor was actually sinking.

We enjoyed our stay in Carolina Beach. The location of the condo was perfect for beach access and quietness. Overall the unit had what we needed for a quick family trip. A few items to note that were less than optimal: 1- there were dirty dishes put away in the cabinet- namely cups that appeared had been used for smoothies and not washed. Rather than let it ruin my day- we ran them thru the dishwasher 2- the sliding door handle that is broken had a "bandaid" repair- the broken handle remained hanging on the door with a smaller usable one. For adults the door was able to slide, but kids had trouble moving it. I would suggest a more permanent repair. Overall the property was in good shape and decent price. Check in/out process with the Real estate company was easy.

Carolina Beach salty dog

The condo was just as pictured. It was very clean. It was a 2 minute walk to the beach which was wonderful. The kitchen was sparse when it came to needed items. The knives were dull. There was not a cutting board. There were no cookie sheets but there was an orange juicer. Go figure! Being on the fourth floor took some getting used to! You are quite winded when you do reach the top but that improved as the week went on. The clientele was questionable. The downstairs neighbor smoked week about every two hours the first 24 hours we were there. We couldn’t sit on the balcony when that occurred and it filled our condo pretty quickly. The first day at the pool a family was there with a young child and no diaper on so that was the last time any of us went to the pool. They were rather skimpy on paper goods. We ended up having to buy our own and the garbage bags were awful that they supplied. Especially considering that you are taking it to the dumpster. Anthony at Bryant Realty was am sizing!he worked very hard to make sure all was right as our lock needed a new battery and the sliding glass door handle was broken. But the cleanliness and the two minute walk to the beach won out. It was a nice break all in all.

I stayed for a month and it was amazing. The condo was clean, 30 steps to beach, pet friendly, and Bryant was a great host. I had an easy check in, and nice drop box for check out. The kitchen had great utensils and pans for cooking. Check out the fish market Blackburn 404 North Park Blvd. Ask the ladies there if you need help to prepare seafood. Walmart delivers to the top floor too. The decorations and wall hangings are beachy and uplifting! The washer and dryer was an awesome add on! Thanks
