PLEASE NOTE: Macleay Island is NOT connected to the Mainland. Access by Vehicle Barge (approx $120 return- 45 min) or passenger ferry approx $8.50 one way 15 mins) You will need to bring your vehicle over to Macleay Island

Modern Designer Luxury home built by owner! Tranquil and serene bush setting and well maintained modern home that offers you a total relaxation from your daily busy lives. On your arrival, you will see a magnificent lush tropical garden while walking the path to the entrance door. At the front of the house, you will notice a large outdoor deck with a dining table overlooking the garden. The house has 3 bedrooms plus loft upstairs, particularly popular for children and teenagers. Two full bathrooms, one with double spa to relax in during your stay. The Designer Kitchen comes with plenty of space to entertain your family and guests and has a 900mm commercial sized oven. The large fridge/freezer has plenty of space to stock up all your food for your stay. Each bedroom has a view of bushland, and you can hear and see wild birds as well. The lounge entertainment area is a good size, with 50 inch plasma TV and DVD. There are Italian designer sofas, a 3 seater, a 2 seater and a single seater. The lounge is screened and has large opening bifold doors to the outdoors.

We are pet friendly, with fully fenced yard and separate fenced dog area on the side of the property. Pets are allowed indoors as long as they are clean.

Secluded tranquil retreat

Hidden gem among the lush rainforest block. Plenty of space for the whole family. Lovely relaxing deck for afternoon nibbles. Except for the rain it would have been perfect as there was limited seating for eating indoors and gutters overflowed onto the seating area on the deck. All in all a very pleasant week away.

We moved to Macleay Island to build our home and raised our daughter in a beautiful island environment. We moved to West End, Brisbane for her high school three years ago. I love designing and building quality homes, kitchens, bathrooms and cars.

Why they chose this property

I always had a dream of building my own home so I designed this family home. With my wealth of experience on renovating a number of houses, I constructed this home by myself. When I started my own kitchen business, I built a designer custom kitchen for our house. The house represents my modern design and quality workmanship. You will have a total relaxation during your stay as I carefully designed the house everything from sun angle, natural lighting and efficient airflow to make any guests' stay as comfortable and memorable as possible.

What makes this property unique

The house is located it in one of the quiet street that is not well known among Macleay Island's residents. The house is surrounded by natural trees and wild birds. The house also has wide windows to let outside nature's landscape into the house. Bi folding doors in the lounge fully open so you can enjoy the outdoor living experience. The highlight of the house is a modern designer kitchen with large bench space and wide drawners for easy access. You will enjoy entertaining your guests in our fantastic kitchen. The unique lighting creates different atmosphere at night. Our double seated spa bath is very popular for adults and children. There is also an upstairs loft room accessed by stairs especially popular for children and teenagers.
