Beautiful!
This cabin had everything we needed to make our stay amazing. The fireplace heated the whole house, and made everything feel cozy. The view was absolutely spectacular! We spent most of our time out on the deck enjoying the scenery and wildlife. The furniture was comfy, and plenty of space for our big crew to eat together. This cabin allowed pets, so we were able to bring our whole family and enjoy a peaceful, beautiful weekend. Would absolutely rent again!
We enjoyed staying at the Duck Creek Village Cabin. The remote controls were a but confusing at first but we got the hang of it quickly. It was warmer than normal but it was easy to cool. We needed to contact the owner and they responded quickly. Thank you.
The only thing I would say is that the refrigerator did not work and so we had you freeze much of our food so it wouldn't go bad. Luckily we also had an electric cooler to help with the items that could not be frozen. The main floor bathroom was a bit under construction but still very accommodating.
Happy place!

The location is beautiful. We knew it wasn’t fancy and couldn’t be too picky because they allowed dogs but we found out when we got there that the dishwasher didn’t work. . The elk head on the top floor facing the wall is disrespectful and extremely tacky. The beds are horrible and one of the top bedrooms is too small for a double bed. We had to buy trash bags and the visitors before us left their trash. There were not enough towels . For the money, it should have been more. We definitely feel that we paid too much.

Hi Heidi, we want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: We're sincerely sorry that you were unhappy with your stay. We send all of our guests a welcome letter informing them of the appliance situation and currently working to resolve the issues as soon as possible. The home is well-equipped with many high-quality linens, towels, and bedding for all of our guests. They are located in three places, the downstairs laundry cabinets, the main floor bathroom in the cabinet, and upstairs in the chest next to the bathroom. We communicate with our cleaners to ensure that they are prepared and ready prior to guest arrival. As for the elk, it came with the cabin but is currently for sale and hasn't sold yet. As a part of guest departure instructions, all guests are responsible to put their trash in the local dumpster when leaving. We are sorry that the guests before you didn't follow that instruction. Thank you for sharing about your stay. We do all we can to make the best possible stay, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Great location but house needs some love
Not the cleanest property. House had renovation materials just lying around in the common areas not put away. Christmas tree was still up in the summer. Bathroom was under full renovation. Many of the power oulets didnt work. Fridge wasnt cold. At the end of the day the house just needs a little money and love put in it and it would be fine. Declutter the common areas, fix the power outlets and clean the property a bit and it could be a nice vrbo stay. Also maybe dont duck tape a platic vase with an anerican flag to a pole. Not very professional.

It was Okay
I had high hopes about this cabin for our family vacation. Unfortunately, it was just okay.
The location was beautiful, but Duck Creek does not have a whole lot. Stores in the area had weird hours and days they were closed. It was hard to find a decent cup of coffee.
The cabin is in desperate need of updating. The main level bathroom was in disarray as it was in the middle of renovation? The carpets are gross and not all the blinds and windows could be opened. There is no AC and it was quite hot in the upstairs bedrooms. The beds were not comfortable and the down pillows and bed topper caused awful allergic reactions.
I’m not sure why, but there was a Christmas tree with a fallen star in the living room. Also, an American flag was duck taped to the deck on the front of the cabin. It was very tacky looking.
I unfortunately, would not recommend this cabin. Look elsewhere. :-/
The dishwasher was out. The downstairs microwave was out. The fireplace to warm the space was full so we had to clean it out before use. The pilot light in the furnace went out - twice. Because of that the hot water was out (twice). We had to call the property manager to get into the home because the passcode that was told to us was wrong. We had to turn on the water ourselves (which for the time of year and elevation does make sense but it was not guest ready). We couldn't enjoy any streaming services because a pin was needed for everything, even to sign in to our own. There wasn't enough space for us to easily take out the garbage beyond the 1 can. Nor were there instructions for further garbage disposal. The electrical was weird and some lights in the house didn't work.
Besides that, it was an extremely cozy space in a great spot. The property manager was helpful and did get a plumber out quickly, but again we had to fix it ourselves again. Beds were cozy, and there were many blankets around to stay warm. The kitchen was lovely and had what we needed to cook. The interior fireplace (after being cleaned out) really warmed up the place. The grill was great. Shower water pressure was great. The neighborhood was beautiful and neighbors were friendly. We would consider booking with Evolve again as it was a very easy booking process.
