This modern coastal retreat is located directly opposite Seven Mile Beach and although it feels worlds away, it's just a 20-minute drive from the CBD and offers easy access to the airport. A five-minute stroll brings you to the local general store, where you can stock up on groceries or pick up hot food from the bain-marie. Designed as a laid-back escape from the hustle and bustle, fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco or simply relax with a drink on the deck while taking in stunning water views.
Optimising laidback waterfront living, Seven Mile Beach House offers a prime location directly on the waterfront, beautifully furnished, a bight and welcoming open floor plan frames stunning views of the beach on your doorstep—with ample space to enjoy the great outdoors. The rear deck features an outdoor setting with a Weber BBQ, while the front deck offers additional space to dine alfresco with stunning ocean views and the sounds of lapping waves on the foreshore.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to prepare a feast making use of Tassie’s bountiful fresh produce—check out Hill Street Grocery at Lauderdale for gourmet foods. It adjoins the large dining and lounge areas, creating a seamless space for entertaining. Kick back on the leather L-shaped lounge with a spot of TV.

The primary bedroom boasts a luxurious queen bed, ensuite bathroom, and large windows overlooking the beachfront. Bedrooms two and three are each set with a comfortable queen bed and plenty of built-in wardrobe space, while the fourth bedroom features a single-day bed that doubles as an extra TV room—creating separate zones for adults and children. The main bathroom is modern and spacious with a bathtub and shower.

With plenty of off-street parking on the driveway, this home is perfect for extended family stays.

Seven Mile Beach has a sleepy village feel and is a popular with those who enjoy the outdoors. Enjoy a walk along the beach, a dip in the water, or the very popular coastal walk to Roches Beach taking in the views across Tiger Head Bay.

If you're a golfer, the Royal Hobart Golf Club is located a two minute drive from the house, and is ranked as one of the best courses in Tasmania. They also offer a dining area in the clubhouse, which is open to the public. Lewis Park is just a short walk away and provides play equipment for the kids, fitness equipment, barbecues, picnic area, toilets and has direct access to the beach.

If you would like to stock up on some Tasmanian produce, we recommend you drive to the adjoining town of Cambridge, and a visit The Local Grocer who provide gourmet bakery items, smallgoods and fresh fruit and vegetables.

Wonderful hideaway within reach to Hobart

Excellent location right across the beach. We stayed as a family of 7 to use as our base to discover Hobart and surrounding tourist spots. Excellent place to come back to and the end of the day and close enough to Hobart for convenience. Property has everything needed for longer term stay.

Great location refreshing decor lovely outlook

We had a great stay, amazing weather and really enjoyed the property. The location was perfect as it was near the airport but central for day trips eg. hobart, mt wellington, port arthur. Property was very clean, had great furnishings and decor and we felt very comfortable.

A perfect relaxing break

Property is in a great spot across the road from the beach. A quiet area that you can really relax and spend time at the beach or sitting on the deck overlooking the ocean. The main bedrooms view from the comfort of your bed is something you will never get sick of. Overall the home is well set up with plenty of room. Thanks for having us.

Great views, good house. No pergola, therefore on a wet day you are tracking water though the house when going in and out. Carport would be better than sail. Pet hair under lounges and sofa. No heater in bedrooms

Not well maintained

Unfortunately this wasn’t a very good place to stay but was an excellent location across the road from the beach. The oven and cooktop weren’t working, the septic system alarm went off every time a toilet was flushed or any water went down a drain including overnight, and various other minor issues. No one came to look at the problems until 2 days later in the afternoon when it was too late to do anything about the problems so for the price we payed we are less than happy to say the least.

Great location - check review for comments re 3rd bedroom

The house was lovely and clean and has a fantastic location. Unfortunately we needed to use the 3rd bedroom with the sofa bed / trundle for our two kids. We were only provided with linen for one bed, not both. I queried this with the property host and was given extra sheets, but not an extra doona and it was quite cold. There were no extra pillows so we had to take them from other rooms. There was a spare doona in a cupboard but it looked a bit dusty to use. I washed blankets to use to make sure linen was clean. But most critically, the sofa bed was missing at least 5 slats. My daughter kept falling through and I contacted the host about this. I was told that they were aware of the problem as other guests had broken them. They said they would try and fix it for us but didn’t. It was not fixed for the 5 nights we stayed. It was 5 uncomfortable nights for my daughter. We had friends and family in the other beds so had no options. Disappointing they rented it too us knowing we would use the bed and knowing it was a problem. I would definitely check with the host that this problem has been fixed before booking if you are wanting to use the sofa bed / single bed room.

Breathtaking views!

Matt's home is spacious, clean and perfect for our (adult) family! The master bedroom views are nothing short of spectacular! Plenty of room for cooking, dining & playing board games. Fantastic location! Would definitely recommend. (the only thing missing was a broom!)
