Great location, very central! Definitely walkable - which we did - but just note the streets are hilly so bring good shoes. House was very comfortable for our multi-generational family holiday (6 people in total) and kitchen well equipped. Sitting out in the backyard watching Mt Wellington and hearing the arctic gulls was a very peaceful highlight. Car space fits a Kia carnival, just a bit of a squeeze (but workable). Highly recommend this beautiful holiday home :)

Lovely house, space for all the family, nice & clean, had a few problems with internet but would recommend as a base for your stay in Hobart
Great views and really comfortable spacious house.
Great place for a group to stay. We would definitely stay here again. Great views of Mt Wellington. Light and bright but also warm and cosy. Thanks so much
We recently went to Tassie for a girls weekend. We were all so impressed with the property, it was spacious, beautifully decorated and in a great location. Host was lovely and everything had been thought of. Would highly recommend and stay again when next in Tassie.
We were a group of four who only had two nights in Hobart. The location was wonderful as we could walk to most things we wanted to do. The house was perfect for our group and had everything we needed, including a great view. We were warm and comfortable and the host communicated well.
An amazing place that is very large & has all the amenities you could desire. Well stocked kitchen. Great communication which made it easy to arrange our stay. Note it is not in Sullivan's Cove, but nearby Glebe - which makes it a bit further to walk to the MONA ferry, Salamanca, etc - but which also makes it quiet with no passing traffic or noisy pedestrians at night.

Fantastic Find!
This was a perfect location for a 'mums' weekend away. The house is terrific - clean, comfortable, lots of natural light and very nicely decorated. The layout suited a large group, with several communal areas (indoor and outside) and spacious bedrooms.
The welcome gift of a cheese platter and the availability of the honesty bar, were both lovely touches and much appreciated. The location is great, with a supermarket close by and the cbd / waterfront areas are within easy walking distance.
Thanks to the hosts for their helpful and friendly manner!

Lovely house, misleading location
We had a lovely stay in Hobart, and the house was wonderfully equipped with everything we needed. However, the location was further out of the centre of town than we expected and up a steep hill. This made it challenging for us, as we were with a family member who can't walk long steep distances, which meant we had to keep chauffeuring them in the car or ordering Ubers. I think the listing title is misleading in terms of location. However, I must commend the hosts on the lovely decor, comfy beds and considerate amenities, including cookies, chips and milk. We also really appreciated the books, stuffed animals and bath toys for our two year old, which she enjoyed playing with. The upstairs loft bedroom and en suite were particularly nice and cosy.

Nice house, misleading location.
We stayed for three nights in August and chose the house due to it's proximity to the main sights of Hobart. We were very disappointed when, a few days before check in, the host shared the address and we realised it was in a completely different area than where the Stayz pin indicated the house would be. Further, the walking times stipulated in the description are very misleading, 10 minutes walk to Salamanca Markets? It's 1.9km! Maybe 10 minutes if you sprint! It took us almost 30 minutes. All of the walking times take at least twice as long. The host needs to correct the location on Stayz ASAP to avoid more disappointed guests. The house itself was lovely but the trip was tainted by our disappointment in the location.
A clean and well-located property. Perhaps not as warm in the living area as we'd like for being there in late June. Should make guests aware that street parking is limited to 2 hours (guests do not qualify as residents to have permit to park there). I was slapped with a fine on the last day.
There were no tea towels nor dish rack to be found which made it difficult to for us to clean and clear any crockery and cutlery used as requested by host. It was probably an oversight as there was ample towels for use. We resorted to putting everything into the dishwasher to start a run to clean - no tea towels to dry anything washed by hand. Since we were only there for a day, we didn't follow up on this with the host/stayz.
It would be easier to leave Stayz with instructions for entry closer to the day booked as we were prompted by the system to contact host. With various accommodations booked for our stretch of holidays, it was difficult to track back to early emails ith the host who did give the instructions for access within early email communication. This is just a suggestion.
Due to the very steep slope the property is sited on, perhaps not the best option for those who may find it a challenge to drag/hoist luggage up flights of steps for entry into property.

Thanks for your feedback, however i'm disappointed you never contacted me during your stay as all of these issued could have been resolved very easily and quickly. We have ample supply of tea towels provided in the kitchen drawer, i'm sorry you didn't find them. If you had contacted me to let me know i could have talked you through where to find them, along with the additional heating we provide throughout winter, supplied in each room.

Disappointed
The house was very uncomfortable to live in. Dining chairs hard and uncomfortable, lounge chairs old, dirty, uncomfortable and only seating for 4 ( house sleeps eight). Backyard was unusable, overgrown and messy.
BBQ was filthy dirty, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned for sometime. We chose not to use it.
During our stay the weather in Hobart was beautiful and warm, rendering the front rooms and especially the upstairs main suite unbearably hot. No cooling or fans in any bedrooms. The dining room was also unusable due to no window treatments to keep the sun out in the afternoon/ evening.
Parking was also an issue as only two hour street parking. We were advised it was free.
The location pin on the stayz map was also deceptive as it did not indicate the correct location of the house.
All in all a very disappointing and uncomfortable stay.

Hi Mareena,
I was very surprised and disappointed to hear you did not have an enjoyable stay, especially as this was the first i had heard from you. If you had addressed some of these issues with me at the time we would have been more than happy to come over and do our best to rectify things during your stay, so this is a great shame you chose to wait and tell me in your review.
I'd like to address your points, as i believe them to be unfair.
- The dining table is made of wood, so yes, it would be hard. It is exactly the same dining table as pictured in all of the listing photos.
- You happened to stay in Hobart on the hottest night on record for over 100 years, so it was unfortunate and extremely rare that you experienced this heatwave. However, we do have the aircon unit in the property that would have be useful, had you turned that on.
- All windows in the dining room do have blinds, which can be pulled down to keep the sun out.
- There is free parking directly outside of the property on the entire right hand side of the street. The left hand side of the street is all 2 hour parking (just read the signs). The property also has it's own off street car park.
- The location pin was set by Google Maps and we have never had anyone encounter an issue with this previously as it appears to be accurate.
Once again, had you contacted me during your stay, all of these issues could have been rectified, so in future, please do reach out to hosts who are here to help.
Warm regards
Brierlie
The property was exactly as described. The bed was comfortable. All amenities was supplied even down to the body wash. It was clean, close to town and where we wanted to go. The host always promptly replied to my queries.
We had a great stay at this property and it is in a perfect location, walking distance to the city / Salamanca and also the restaurant areas in Nth Hobart.
Highly recommend.
This property could not have been more perfect. Every need was taken care of, and there was lots of attention to detail that was very much appreciated. Thanks to Brierlie for a wonderful stay!
