The lake has Redfin and you can try your luck.. just ask and we’ll provide you with a rod and lures.. or you can bring your own. We have two miniature ponies, Rita and Gidget and two retired quarter horses mares Chocolate and Lily.. they all lovely friendly horses. The space We have provided everything you need to have the most relaxing experience during your stay. The cottage has a large open plan living area . The kitchen is fully equipped and the lounge room has a comfy modular lounge suite for you to stretch out and relax. A coffee machine is provided in the well equiped kitchen so you don’t miss out on your morning coffee. The outdoor seating is another comfy space to sit back and enjoy the view. The light filled house backs onto native bush and kangaroos often come close at night to graze on the lawn. You can wander along many bush trails found at the back of the property and during spring you will find beautiful wild flowers and native orchids.

Jonine was very welcoming, inviting us to arrive early. The cottage was very comfortable and homely, with fresh eggs and avocados and a bottle of wine in the fridge, a very generous touch. Would love to return in the cooler months when the land is greener.
What a lovely cottage in an amazing setting surrounded by beautiful flora and fauna ,with all the amenities you’d need both Cosy and comfortable. The host was warm friendly and inviting and we highly recommend ..thanks
This was our second visit and it was even better than the first. It is so clean and fresh and beautifully decorated and so well appointed. The area is very peaceful with lots of wildlife to watch. Lots of good walks in the area too.
A welcoming comfortable and restful atmosphere. We couldn’t have wished for a better place to spend two nights to relax and breathe in the deep crystal air
The host was very welcoming, assisted with all the requested. The cottage was neat, clean and maintained well with real indoor plants, books and fragnances. The fruit and vegetable garden was very well maintained farm with healthy fruits (Grapefruit, fig, pomegranate, blueberry) and vegetables. A complete amazing experience.

We had a fantastic stay, nice and cosy in the middle of winter with both wood fire and air con. Everything we needed to cook at home when we felt like it. About the host

My husband Jeff and I purchased this property in 2017 .. we absolutely love our home and it’s location. We have been involved in agriculture all our lives, first broad acre farming in the Great Southern and then growing beef cattle in the South West. We really enjoy people meeting all the different people who come to stay here and try to make their stay as enjoyable and special as we can. And it’s easy when it’s such a nice part of the world. People are beginning to discover what a hidden gem the Ferguson Valley is.
Why they chose this property
We chose this property because of its location, the beautiful lake which fills from a winter creek and the gorgeous Joshua Creek which runs through the farm. We love that we have plenty of space and privacy but Bunbury only a short drive away. It’s the perfect choice for us as it also means we are only 2 hours to Perth to see our grandchildren and for them to also visit us. The wineries of the Ferguson Valley are only a 10 minute drive away and there’s a good choice of places to call in for lunch.
What makes this property unique
The cottage has a special charm about it, it’s light filled with views from the deck over the farm. It’s cosy and warm in winter with the log fire and in summer the air conditioning keeps it cool. Kangaroos graze around the cottage and come bouncing by at dusk..there is abundant bird life to enjoy and many walking trails up the back to explore .. the sheep will keep you entertained especially when they have lambs and we also have two very cute miniature ponies to meet.
