Great location and stay. House had everything for a great family trip with in-laws. The house was clean and the large private yard allowed for a lot of activities for old and young. The dock is extremely peaceful and an easy walk to a nice sandy beach.
We were a group of six: 4 adults + 2 kids (11&13) and we really enjoyed our stay. The beach is easy walking distance, we also rode our bikes and ran on the road at the back of the house and we also played many games on the property: badminton, volleyball.
The house is close to Kincardine, Port Elgin and Southampton and to MacGregor Provincial Park. It was a great stay, hosts are easy to communicate and the sunsets are beautiful!
Gorgeous new structure. Large great room with lake view. Very private with no other cottages in sight. Plenty of room for our doggies to run although they spent most of the time tethered since they are prone to wander! The beach is quite rocky but again very private so bring the water shoes. The private road in front is great for long walks with plenty of folks walking and exercising. It was a very pleasant experience for all of us and left us many fond memories. Highly recommended.
Our stay at this stunning cottage on Lake Huron was truly unforgettable. We stayed there with our three kids, along with another family with two kids, and it was the perfect retreat for all of us. The moment we arrived, we were captivated by the incredible views from the great room and spent countless hours sitting out on the porch, watching the waves splash against the coast. It was pure relaxation.
The location couldn’t have been better. Just a quick walk away, we found a beautiful sandy beach where the kids had a blast playing and building sandcastles. It was also a short drive to Port Elgin, where we enjoyed a few more days at the beach and explored the charming town.
The cottage itself was spacious and well-designed, with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen, with its huge island, made cooking meals together a joy. In the evenings, we gathered around the outdoor fire pit, roasting marshmallows and making s’mores under the stars. The kids also loved playing with the board games provided in the loft.
This cottage offered everything we needed for a perfect family getaway, and we can’t wait to return!
Our family enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and walking at the Sandy beach; the nearby golf courses; walking the neighbourhood; the cottage’s many outdoor seating areas; the fire pit and great supply of wood; and, disk golf. Most of all, we enjoyed being all together at Lake Huron..
We are a 3 generation family of 8, ranging in age from 18 to 80s.
For our family of 4 adults, 3 children (12/10/7) and 1 dog, we were looking at a spacious, modern "cottage" in a quiet area, with easy access to or close to a sandy beach, and a nice patio with a bbq for outdoor eating.
"Our Happy Place" ticked all the boxes
