Tiny Studio - Near New

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. Set in our orchard area of our 5 acre property which borders the Coromandel State Park. Landscaped grounds with beautiful native bush backdrop. Our tiny studio has only what you need and no more but is full of charm and in a wonderful setting.
There is a beautiful bush walk from the property up to the Wentworth Waterfall, gold mines in the back yard, landscaped grounds, native bush backdrop with native birds.
A 10 minute drive to shops + beach
We take guests health and safety seriously and have a full first aid kit in the apartment and a defibrillator onsite in case of a heart attack.
Guest access
We have a young friendly German Shorthaired Pointer on the property who will love to come and visit you so if you are scared of dogs you should not book this cottage.

Cosy studio on a beautiful property

The studio is wonderfully built and has everything needed to enjoy a good stay. It's located on a large property and has plenty of outdoor space for taking in the peaceful surrounding scenery. It's also walking distance from a bushwalk that goes to the top of Wentworth Falls. Feels remote but is only 10 minutes from the town centre. On top of all this, the hosts are very welcoming and provide great hospitality. Really wish I could've stayed longer! Hopefully will get the chance to come back some day.

Absolute paradise

We were welcomed by Gordon and his lovely wife with some freshly baked cookies and a very warm welcome. The property is absolutely stunning and makes you feel like you're far away from everything with the sound of the river flowing, bird song and surrounded by lush bush, the best part is town is only a 5 min drive away. If you are looking for a place to ground yourself and unwind from city life this is the place to go, it's only a cruisy 3 hour drive from Auckland and the scenery only gets better the closer you get. The cottage is cosy, warm and kitted out with everything you need with cooking facilities, BBQ and super comfy bed. They even went the extra mile with some complimentary beverages not to mention the delicious warm cookies (we turned up just at the right time). We highly recommend staying here 😊 treat yourself!

Cute hideaway cottage week long getaway!

This cute cottage was perfect for a 6 night getaway for my partner and I. Located in picturesque grounds, it was very relaxing and quiet. We swam in the pool and enjoyed the outside deck area to read, have a drink and dinner while listening to music. Location wise it is great, we could walk to the Wentworth Falls (well worth doing) and a 8 minute drive into the township which has the most gorgeous beach, lovely cafe's/restaurants, a good information centre, supermarket etc. We did day trips to Cooks Beach, Whitianga and Whiritora for swims at great beaches and cafe lunch's. The cottage has all the mod cons, (best shower ever!) air con, smart tv and Alexa tablet so all you have to do is chill! Gordon is lovely and helpful with anything you may need and Dakota (his dog) is a real cutie. We loved our stay and I highly recommend whether for a long weekend or a week!

We built this tiny studio initially for use by the grandchildren but it was so nice that we decided to share it with others and market it for holiday accommodation. We added on a pergola to give an outside area to BBQ and relax whilst reading a book or socialising.

Why they chose this property

If you are wanting to be close to the action around one of the top surf beaches in New Zealand - only 10 minutes drive, close to shops, bars and restaurants - but tucked away from all the noise and hustle and bustle then this is the tiny studio for you. Set in our orchard and backing onto the Coromandel State forest this studio offers the bare necessities at an affordable price. A romantic place for couples with large deck, seating and BBQ.
