Prior to our arrival I read about a problem with the beds and bedding. People complained about bed bugs and other various problems with the bedding. I chose to ignore these comments..but upon my arrival, I checked out the beds first. The two beds downstairs in the room across from the pool table smelled like urine. I washed the comforters but my two grandchildren (10 and 8) told me on our last day that they felt like the sheets were never washed. What a shame because that cabin had so many things going for it...ambience, space, enough beds., great location. If the owner would just but new bedding (including mattresses) I think that this house would rate a 10!

We’re glad you appreciated the cabin’s ambiance, space, and location. We want to address your concerns regarding the bedding. We have not had any issues with bed bugs, and all sheets and mattress pads have been replaced within the last 18 months and are professionally cleaned after every guest stay. During your visit, we were not notified of any concerns with the bedding, and had we been made aware, we would have addressed them immediately. We have also recently stayed at the property ourselves and did not notice any odor, as our cleaner maintains a consistent standard that leaves the home smelling fresh.
This rental is very charming! When we arrived, there was an adorable Christmas tree with its lights on (late December visit). The host was very responsive. Would definitely stay there again.
This house provided an excellent stay for my family! The house was very clean and well-stocked upon arrival. They had an excellent selection of games that my family loved and definitely took advantage of. The pool table and hot tub were fan favorites as well. The proximity to a grocery store and Bryson City was perfect with the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad and some excellent restaurants being so close. I definitely recommend staying at this house!
Very nice cabin that is close to town and grocery store. Cabin has everything that you need for an enjoyable stay. Main floor has one bedroom and private bath. Basement is very spacious with pool table and hot tub. We would stay here again!!!
The A/C unit in the upstairs was not functioning properly upon our arrival. I notified the property manager and she had two contractors come to fix the property the same day. We cooked several nights while we stayed. We enjoyed the outdoor grill and the upper deck. The main bedroom on the main floor was lovely with a large bathroom. The pool table was a wonderful addition and we played nearly every day. There were plenty of towels, but TP and paper towels for a weeks stay were not adequately supplied for our group. If you plan on cooking, take supplies as very few spices, sugar, etc are in stock. There is a grocery just 8 minutes away and we found everything we needed there. The main appliances worked as they should. We were unable to get the internet to connect to the TV, but relied on the DVD player to entertain our kiddos. This is a beautiful house with lovely decks. This property doesn’t have a yard for kids to galavant as it is on a huge slope. This was not an issue for ours as the decks were plenty spacious for our crew. The house is close to shopping, and the railroad. We found plenty to do during our stay. Thank you for your hospitality!
This cabin is absolutely perfect for our summer retreat! The open kitchen/living areas provide the room we need. Close to downtown Bryson City, tubing in Deep Creek and any shopping!
We loved walking through the neighborhood with its beautiful view. The neighbors were friendly and their yards were full of flowers. We floated down deep creek on tubes. The house was lovely.

Wonderful :)
The cabin was very lovely and well stocked and lots of room.We loved staying here for the weekend.Host responded to any questions :)
The cabin was so much more than we expected! It was beautiful! Our family had 9 people and had lots of extra room for sleeping! A nice covered big porch on the main floor that we loved sitting out on and enjoying our family time together! I'd definitely recommend this cabin!
This cabin was very much a "home away from home". The living room furniture was extremely comfortable as were the beds and the cabin was very clean and inviting. My only suggestion, add cushions to the dining table benches for those like us who enjoy playing games at the end of the day to make "butts" happy. This location was easy to get to downtown and great restaurants. If I could give over 5 Stars I would.

Great stay!
This house was perfect for our leadership retreat! Great location with easy access to Deep Creek (tubing), Raging Rivers Rafting (highly recommend), and all things Bryson City!
Clean and stock. There was a broken chair thatvhad been sitting out back. Luckly we brought our own camping chairs. Some missing bulbs leaving closets dark. Some loose cabinet hinges risking a renter to a cabinet door coming off. Otherwise very clean , close to downtown. Very well stocked with linens. 4wd was not necessary as the add said.

Wonderful to stay here
My friends and family were here to see fall foliages and we had a great time here. They had an attic in the basement which my nephew loved it. The outside view was wonderful. I definitely would stay here again for next season.

Fall break get away
Very nice set up. Everything that you needed for a comfortable stay.
The home was just as described. Clean, everything we needed was there, easy to find. Check in and booking were simply and communication was awesome! Thank you. We will stay again.
Perfect for our two families (8 people total). We can for the polar express. Kids ages 3-6. They loved the loft in the basement! Plenty of room to spread out. Kids loved the hot tub and so did adults. Would rent again!

Perfect house for a large family
The three bedrooms spread out over three floors with each having a private bath was perfect for our large family. The kids all enjoyed the hot tub and pool table. Super great location. We were within 15 of Nantahala Outdoor Center. Very close to grocery store and downtown Bryson City. Paige, our local contact with the reservation, was helpful and readily available with any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

From the owner: "We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay with your family. We hope to have you join us again in the future. Thanks for choosing our cabin"
House has lots of potential. Also the layout is great. Needs a good cleaning throughout, inside and out. All of the pool sticks are broken. Several lights out in the house, lighting is not good. Couch is broken, had to prop up one end to even sit on it. Only 1 of the 3 recliners in the house worked. Didn't expect an expensive mattress but all of the beds were uncomfortable to entire family. Porches need repairs, especially lower one. Not one to leave a negative review but felt several issues needed to be addressed in the house. House would be great if these issues would be resolved.

Overall the experience was okay, the cabin was very dusty and one of the shower curtains had mold. The furniture was very worn and needed to be replaced. Basically many items need replaced because of the overall condition was not very good.

Hi Dana, we’re sorry your stay fell short of expectations. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following:
- We apologize for the cleanliness issues you experience. We've addressed this with our cleaning team and it will not be an issue for future guests.
- Normal tenant wear-and-tear has impacted the quality of some of our furniture. We have plans to replace many pieces, including the living room couches, in January.
Thanks for your valuable feedback!
