Pony View | Waterfront Deck w/ Wild Pony & Lighthouse Views, Boat Slip Access & Pet Friendly Stay

Enjoy your cup of coffee as the sun peeks over the salt marshes of Assateague Island. You can often see a herd of our famous wild ponies grazing to the right of the lighthouse from your private waterfront deck and second-floor balcony - not to mention the copious amounts of waterfowl and other wildlife in the channel. Pony View boasts three bedrooms - A master with queen bed, full bath, and balcony on second floor, as well as another bedroom with a queen on the second floor - along with another full size bath. On the third floor you will find an amazing view of the marsh with the panoramic window and four twin beds, and a beautiful bathroom with a rustic wooden sliding door. The ground floor is where you'll find the hub of the house - fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, and plenty of counter space. A dining table and bar seating area, a half bath, and a cozy living area with floor-to-ceiling knockout views. Or enjoy the waterfront deck just outside the living room. Pony View is pet-friendly so your furry friend can enjoy the water view as well. Dock access along with a boat slip is available for your use. Crab and fish right from the house! A deep water boat ramp is found just at the end of the complex for you to drop in. Central air/heat will keep you comfortable year round. There is also a washer/dryer, and an outside grill for your use while you're with us. Memorial Park is just a short walk up the street for a wonderful waterfront park and playground, tennis and volleyball courts, fishing pier, picnic areas, and walking trail.

- This property is pet friendly with a pet fee per pet. Pet fee is $150 per pet. All pets must be disclosed prior to arrival.

Reviewer Comments: This rental was a second choice since the rental we first booked stopped using Chincoteague Resort Vacations and we we forced to pick another pet rental with a dock. Arrived with my little 17’ boat to find an incredibly small parking lot for all the rentals. No real boat parking even though it said there was plenty. Squeezed it into my second parking spot. The dock is poorly maintained with loads of oysters on the piers just ready to slice your hull. The oyster company beside it runs boats roughly through the small channel and causes lots of banging in to the dock. The place has a lot of room inside with three levels but the third floor with the spiral staircase Is too much of a pain to use. Terrible access to it. After being here a day or so we noticed how really dirty the place was. Needs a good detail job. Had lots of amenities and nice kitchen. View great. Neighbors (owners) are nice folks. Porches are way too small and no privacy at all. I’d rent it only in a pinch next time.

Nice balconies which are covered so the sun doesn't "beat down" on you. Great stay.

I’ve walked past this rental plenty of times and it doesn’t look like much from the outside, but the inside is so spacious. It was the perfect place to stay for a short winter visit with our pup. We could stay warm inside and watch the birds, ponies, and snowstorm out the big windows.

I really like how this year B Rental process was made even more electronic with the door unlock code and being able to text the rental company for help with even the smallest of things. The coffee pot in the house was not working so I was able to text the rental company about it and they we're able to provide me with a replacement extremely quickly. I must say the rental company has grear customer service, which can be hard to find these days. Enjoyed our stay so much that we've already booked again for next year.

Pony View is true to its name!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is simply my favorite. I won’t stay anywhere else but this short stretch of road with the most spectacular view of the lighthouse and wild ponies all day. The proximity to the water is ideal. Neighbors are extremely friendly.

Perfect spot for a short winter visit: yoga with a view, bird/pony/snowstorm watching while staying warm inside, nice kitchen to cook in the off season when not much is open. It doesn’t look like much as you approach the front door, but the inside and the space out back by the water are fantastic.

we vacation in chincotegue every year. took our kids when small, now we go with our kids and grandkids. we always have a good time. this was our first time staying at pony view. It was a disappointment. The place was dirty. Moldy shower curtains. used feminine products in bathroom trash. Dirty blankets, blood on 2 of the pillows.( thank God we took our own blankets and pillows). Ice maker in fridge did not work. 2bd floor bathroom, smelled of urine. Had someone power washing the balconies next door and we got blasted with debris. we did still enjoy our vacation. Being with family and spending time together overcomes the disappointment. I must say, the girls when we checked in were very nice. And they did refund the cleaning fee. I don't think we would ever stay at pony view again though.

When we ask our grandchildren where their favorite place is, they unanimously and enthusiastically shout, "CHINCOTEGUE! We've been bringing our sons to Chincoteague since birth (44, 42 and 34) and now they brong their children, too. this is our 4th year at Pony View, and each year it gets more difficult to leave. The dock is wonderful for fishing, crabbing, and just sunning. Sitting on the porch watching the water and wildlife is so relaxing, and the beacon of the lighthouse can be hypnotizing. Thanks to the staff at CRR who are always friendly, courteous, and prompt to respond.

We really enjoyed our stay at Pony View. All of the equipment in the condo worked as expected - even the Wi-Fi. Our only complaint would be the spiral staircase to the loft room (4 twin beds). This thing was steep and small. We had 4 year old children with us and they slept in this space. It would be difficult for less nimble people to negotiate this staircase. The dock with deep water access was great - and why we picked this unit. Again lots of steps but great to have. The management company was great to deal with. Very accommodating and quick to process the refunds cleaning and pet (we didn't take our dogs). Long drive for a great vacation. Would stay here again.
