Aaliyah`s and Amina`s Tropical Retreat unit 2 - Pine Island St James City

Named after our daughters as this reminds me of paradise in our beautiful Pine Island, St James City oasis. Aaliyah's and Amina's Tropical Retreat. Consisting of four units with a new heated pool in between. Situated on nearly 6 acres to explore with tropical plants, WiFi and much more. So close to shops, restaurants, tropical fruit nursery's, beaches and more. Unit 2 is a second floor, completely renovated condo with a full kitchen (no dishwasher), living area, dining room, three bedrooms and two bathrooms. We have a full size washer and dryer in the condo for your convenience as well. The bedrooms have a king bed, queen and queen with a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The master suite has an en-suite bathroom and a door leading to the wrap around deck. There is high speed wireless internet throughout as well as smart TV's in all of the rooms. On-site there's a gas bbq grill, fire pit and cornhole to enjoy. Walk around the property, the trails and find our famous peacocks that fly in often. This unit can sleep up to 8 guests. Have a larger group? If available, units 1 or 4 may be added for additional sleeping. On-site care taker if there are ever any issues.

Apartment was nice, location wasn't the best

The apartment was very spacious and it was clean when we arrived except for lizard poop we found in the master bed between the blankets, and then occasionally throughout our stay on the floors. The location was the biggest drawback; 30 - 90 minutes one way to all the activities we tried, and I didn't know at the time there are no beaches on Pine Island, it is surrounded by mangroves. We had minor inconveniences like only one set of (3) large squares as the only ice cube tray (the in fridge door did not work) and there was no can opener and no guest book with area suggestions. They left laundry detergent which was really helpful and starter packs of toilet paper/paper towels etc. The pool was nice. The A/C worked great. People in the area are really friendly! It was very close to two grocery stores and a CVS pharmacy. It was amazing to still see devastation from the hurricane on this and other islands. Our drive to Captiva was the highlight of our trip, and this apt. was an affordable way to spend time in that area.

Comfortable accomodations could be more comfortable if cleaner.

Although the location was very comfortable & the furnishings were as shown, the entire place could use a deep cleaning.

Very nice modern house with lots of wildlife

We had a great time just had trouble finding the place at first, the “Gary Parker lane” sign is very faded and hard to see, other than that we had a great time!
