Luxurious forest cabin
Our family enjoyed two fabulous nights in this beautiful and well equipped large cabin home. We particularly enjoyed the large outdoor sitting area overlooking the forest. There are numerous hiking trails and a lake nearby. This was an excellent weekend getaway home.
Nice retreat, not far from Portland and wine country. Great kitchen and porch. Loved that it was dog friendly. We did notice the stink bug problem that others have mentioned in their reviews - but to us, bugs come with the territory of a lake/mountain house and we weren't bothered.
Get location and great property. Everything was great with the exception of water pressure in the shower. It was manageable but just be aware. Would without a doubt stay here again. Super secluded which made it nice and peaceful.
Came up with our dogs to help with and attend our daughter's wedding. The property was fantastic. Just what we needed to help unwind when not running errands or at the big event. The weather didn't cooperate with getting to truly enjoy the grounds, but we are hoping we can come back for more of a vacation stay. We truly didn't want to leave! Loved the time there.

Serenity in the woods
Very nice house. Very quiet. Close to Gaston and Forest Grove so convenient for eats. Try the One Horse Tavern in Gaston. Yum.
Comfortable beds. Lots of kitchen equipment. Everything you could ask for in a get-away.
Evolve is always good to work with.
We look forward to returning in nicer weather.
It was winter so I stayed inside most of the time and enjoyed the fireplace with multiple cups of tea and glasses of wine. It was wonderful! The home was in excellent condition with all the amenities as described. The property manager was very helpful, even texting me additional instruction when she saw I had arrived, but not found the lockbox. She also answered my other questions very promptly. I would definitely visit again.
This property is lovely for those looking to get away! It's nice and quiet; the property itself was clean and well maintained. As some other reviews have noted, the water definitely has a sulfur smell to it, so we brought a few bottles of water and everything worked out just fine. The property is also dog friendly, and clearly the owners have a dog. Our dog loved going walking through the trails around the property and absolutely loved lounging on the nice big deck! The beds were also clean and very comfortable, and the fireplace was lovely in the evenings (the wood shed was well stocked with fire wood and we were provided with some fire starters which was a great surprise). We also used the kitchen to cook while we were here and it's well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, flatware and so on. Overall we loved our weekend in the forest and can't wait to go back!
This cabin was just about perfect in every way! It was very clean, well stocked and beautifully decorated. The woods around the cabin were wonderful for exploring. And while the cabin is very private, its proximity to the lake, town of Gaston, and wineries was very convenient. Of note, the cabin's water source must be well water? There was a sulfur smell to it and it is very very soft, so just a heads up on that. All in all, a wonderful place!
Overall great. Everything clean and nice appliances, plenty of firewood. Check the pantry before buying more supplies as they stock spices, a few cans and even some meats in the freezer.
Beware of the well water. It is safe to drink, but the iron smell is horrible and we didn’t even like to take a shower with it. So bring plenty of bottled water if you are particular with your water quality.
Beautiful high end cabin, very quiet, close to hiking, lots of privacy. Quick drive back to the urban areas. The driveway might throw you the first time you come in as it drops down in a surprising way. It is perfectly safe but be forewarned.
