Escape to Writer's Block! Located within the private community of Piney Mountain with Outstanding Mountain Views and just a short drive to Saluda, Mill Spring, or Lake Lure, Writer’s Block is the perfect location for a romantic getaway or simply a place to seek solitude to refresh the soul.

Beautifully decorated in light soothing tones, this lovely cottage offers two bedrooms (one King and one Queen), a full bath with towel warmer, a separate outdoor bath /shower (for seasonal use), and an open plan kitchen and living area.

Luxuriously furnished to make your stay as comfortable as possible, Writer’s Block is an unforgettable place to relax and unwind.

Whether you spend the day browsing the quaint art towns of Saluda and Tryon or engage in some of the numerous outdoor activities that abound in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Writer’s Block is the perfect place to retreat to at the end of the day. Enjoy the long-range mountain views over a sundowner on the deck, fire up the grill, roast marshmallows around the fire pit, or feel nature surround you as you take an outdoor bath amongst the treetops. Please note: the outdoor tub is closed from November 15 - April 15.

This mountain cottage is perfect for every season! In spring and summer, the weather is wonderful, and the sunsets are inspiring. The myriad of colors in autumn brings visitors from near and far. With the leaves absent from the trees, the winter views are entirely new. Plus, this area and the surrounding communities offer something for everyone.
