Very clean and well maintained. Good supply of towels and linens. Good quality paper products. Family-friendly. Good location. Perfect Pizza in Marion was good and delivered on time.
Teresa was very accommodating to our need to check in a little early. Easy to contact with prompt response. Home had everything you might need for a comfortable stay close to Marian, Hungary Mother, and all local attractions. We would stay there again.

Cozy and Clean
We had a nice stay at Glade Cottage. The house was neat, clean, well stocked, quiet, and just what we were looking for after each day of driving the amazing VA. roads in the area with our car club. The house had everything we needed and then some for our stay. The outside of the house was a real surprise with some beautiful flowers in and around the house and property. If back in the area, we will stay again.
Things I liked about the property: Convenient location to many great fishing location, house old but very clean, quiet, plenty of parking, nice fridge/freezer and kitchen appliances and cooking utensils. Things I wish were better: furniture not comfortable, bed pillows were clean but not comfy, small bathroom, toilet worked but low water pressure. Would stay again and better than a hotel.

Hi Charles, we're glad you enjoyed the close proximity to amazing fishing spots! We take guest feedback seriously and passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: We have high standards of hospitality for our property to ensure our guests have a positive stay. Thank you for sharing your positive feedback on the cleanliness of the home and the well-stocked kitchen!
- We're sorry to hear that you didn't have the five-star experience we endeavor to provide our guests. The condition of the home is important to us and to ensure efficiency, we will remedy the water flow in the toilet.
- While we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, we're sorry the pillows didn't meet your preferences. In the home, we offer a variety of ten different bed pillows for guest use. The comfort of our guests is a top priority and we will look into upgrading the bedding. As for the furniture, we can confirm that they are perfectly fine and functioning well.
- We are sorry that you felt the bathroom was small. Our listing and photos accurately advertise the home and can give a good representation of what to expect in regards to the size of the bathroom.
- We wish you had reached out to the Guest Contact if there were any issues you needed to be addressed. We would have done everything we could to resolve them immediately but unfortunately, we weren't aware of any concerns until after your stay.
We recognize the benefits of consistently improving our guest's experiences, and your feedback is pivotal towards implementing our next steps. We truly go above and beyond for our guests, and we are confident that future guests will have excellent stays.

A cozy home, in a quiet setting
We thoroughly enjoyed are stay in this lovely home. We were visiting relatives in the area and it was a comfort to be able to come "home" and kickback to relax. Hosts were friendly, but not intrusive. We had milk and 1/2 and 1/2 for our use in the fridge when we arrived, an impressive touch, AND when I left my battery/charger they followed up and mailed it to me, such a thoughtful gesture, with no charge. Hungry Mother State Park is beautiful in the fall and great to walk the trails and enjoy being outside.
It was very clean. It was easy to find. The kitchen had every thing that we needed. TV, Internet, cell phone reception worked. Plenty of towels. Many rentals only have one towel per person. Everything was as pictured in the online listing. It was easy to find from route 81. They had a notebook listing grocery stores, hospital, restaurants, etc. Very helpful. We would stay there again.
We stay with Terri and all went very well her house was more of a home to us and Terri was happy to help us in any way she could and we look forward to come back soon
Really enjoyed our stay! Came to see my 1st grandchild. The house was perfect for myself, 2 daughters and grandson. The mountain view was amazing! Will definitely be back for my next visit!
Terri and Drew were magnificent hosts! So friendly and attentive (but totally non intrusive). The photos don’t do the place justice, especially the lovely, spacious back patio. Also, the hosts are pros re the AT and even offer shuttling services for a reasonable fee. It’s a no brainer for any hiker. Stay here!
