Damascus Cottage

The cottage was fixed up nicely and it was clean. We had some minor issues with the property itself. We only had Luke warm water in the shower the first night and the water pressure was not very good. After the first night the temperature was fine so that wasn’t a big issue. It’s an open shower so the bathroom floor gets soaked every time you take a shower witch is kind of a hassle trying to keep it mopped up so your not walking and tracking water through out the house. I had more of an issue with the company I booked it through as opposed to the cottage itself. I booked through Evolve and they were terrible to deal with. I reached out several times, calls, email's, and text and they didn’t even respond.

A Proper Mountain Cottage

The home is very quaint. It is a bit noisy on the interior due to the engineered materials used throughout the home. Slightly awkard property lot, with facing the small apartment complex, it makes the back patio and front porch seem less private, also obstructs a partial view. The bathroom design is also, just a bit different. Functional and "modern or euro" but kinda quirky due to layout. No mechanical/Structural issues with the home. Really enjoyed being at the base of a mountain, waking in the morning and as the sun set. A very serene scenery, and even being close proximity to many others, very quiet and peaceful. Close to the small town, and rt 58/Jeb Stuart run right through the center to bring you north to Abingdon, or south along the national forest edge. Plenty to see and do within 15-20mi, could of stayed a few days extra to enjoy localities. Would stay again and reccommend to anyone looking for a cozy stay amongst the Mountains.

Beautiful place with everything we needed.

This house has been designed with vacationers in mind. It had everything we needed to be comfortable and enjoy our visit. It is close to the center of town, but far enough out that its peaceful and quiet. Highly recommend!

Great little cottage in Damascus

This was an adorable cottage with a short distance from downtown Damascus. Very easy to get to all the shuttle/rental shops to ride the Creeper Trail. We had everything we needed, it was clean and well organized. Good parking, quiet neighborhood, fire pit, woods in back of the property so it felt private. This property is not handicap accessible, which could be improved by adding a ramp to the back patio maybe. Overall, we would definitely like to come back here again and explore more of the area.
