Our Possum Valley Hideaway offers you and your family a secluded, yet modern dwelling. Located on in4 secluded acres, up a long, winding, paved and gravel road , through the heart of the Appalachian Mountains lies your own 'Little Dash of Heaven'

We have 2 bedrooms, ** AND A NEWLY ADDED LOFT!!!!**1 bathroom with newly installed bath tub, and an open living room with kitchen. Kitchen includes utensils, dishes and cookware. Come relax on our wrap around porch while swinging in our 2 porch swings. Enjoy the wildlife such as many birds, whitetail deer, wild turkey, squirrels and rabbits, which may be seen at any time.

During your stay you can enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting, skiing, lakes, bike riding on the Creeper Trail, mountain scenery, and NASCAR Racing at the Bristol Raceway.

Rustic

I depend on reviews to help me choose a VRBO and I also study the pictures before making a decision. I have been pretty successful with my choices up to now, unfortunately the reviews and pictures do not add up to the real thing. Con: the bedroom closets are full of the owners personal items that fall out when you open the doors. The kitchen is great for a hunting camp but I was looking for clean and uncluttered. The bathroom is tiny. Living area windows were open when we arrived, it was cold out, tried to close them but due to their age were unable to close completely. Also, the blinds in the living area were broken. The road to the cabin is steep, dirt and gravel, we were not happy driving our new car on it. Pros: hot tub was clean and the right temperature, beds were comfortable. I hate that I had to write this review but if you are like me you depend on honesty when choosing a rental. If you are looking for rustic and privacy this rental would work for you.

Hot tub

The cabin is very cute and quaint. After working long hours at the conference we were here to attend it was so nice to come back and relax in the hot tub. Can't wait to come back again and spend some time in the porch swing reading a good book

Beautiful retreat in the hills

My wife and I were looking for a weekend away to unplug and found it here. Very remote and we enjoyed watching the snow fall from the warmth of the propane fireplace. The cabin layout covered some of the windows a bit too much and would be nice to move a few things around for better views.

We are Mark and Diana Dunn. We have been married for 25 years and have 2 girls and 1 granddaughter! We are all about family!! We enjoy having PVH as we get to meet new people all the time. We look forward to our return guests and and aim for just that!!!
We were riding 4-wheelers in the woods one day and there was a for sale sign on this lil blue cabin we always loved. And.. Well.. That's what started it all! We have done alot of fixing up here and there but all in all we just want others to enjoy our. 'Lil Dash of Heaven'!
