Located one home down from public access with a staircase to miles of sandy beach, this home retains nostalgic charm as it spoils you with modern luxuries, including a hot tub on the outside deck. The home’s inviting living room has leather chairs and a sofa surrounding a huge flat-screen TV and a sweet gas fireplace with a river-rock hearth. A dining table looks out paned windows to the quiet street outside, or you can dine facing the ocean on one of the decks outdoors. The fully equipped kitchen also houses a washer and dryer. Climb down a few steps to a sleeping area with French doors that open to the hot tub, or climb up to two adorable bedrooms, one with its own gas fireplace and the other with a private deck. You’ll love the feeling of history and the warmth of the honey-hued wood lining every wall and ceiling, courtesy of the retired Columbia Riverboat pilot who built the home at the turn of the 20th century. You’re minutes from dining, shopping, golf, hiking, and the Chinook Winds Casino but ensconced in a residential neighborhood that will make you feel right at home. A magical trip!

We loved our stay here. If you sleep upstairs you can hear the ocean while you sleep. We used the jacuzzi which was very nice. Its a very short walk to the beach down some stairs, even in winter we loved walking on the beach. We cooked breakfast every morning, the stove is very nice and new. We did some laundry the washing machine and dryer are newer as well. Its a very charming cabin, so it was perfect for a cozy wintertime stay! We would stay here again happily!!!

Friendly Home!!

The Captains Place was a wonderful home where our family could gather to celebrate and celebrate enjoy time together. Plenty of room on the back deck to clean and celebrate a crabbing adventure. Kitchen had amenities to cook and serve a large family meal. Young children and teen were entertained by the easy beach access and toys at the property. We were grateful to have been able to use this friendly home as our own!!

Cozy Captains Cabin

Cozy Captains Cabin was comfortable with close easy access to the beach. The kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved the location and the cabin was great!

We LOVED how close the cabin was to the beach- just past one house and down the stairs! We could easily come and go to the beach first and last thing each day and anytime in between our excursions around the coast. Low tide was especially fun to explore. The bedrooms in this cabin worked out perfectly for the 7 of us. Loved listening to the ocean out on the upper patio. The property manager was very responsive and great. Look forward to our next visit!!
