Welcome to our slice of heaven! Enjoy all the Gold Coast has to offer from your own private at home resort. Just 5 mins drive to Surfers Paradise Beach and walking distance to shops and local cafes. (12 mins to Seaworld) Spend the days relaxing in the sun by the pool or enjoying drinks and meals on the huge alfresco covered deck. At night get a glimpse of the surfers skyline. Family and pet friendly with fun kids bedroom. The bath is divine! Very private and quiet location. Guaranteed enjoyment

Comfortable house

The house has all that you need for your stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the beds are comfortable and outdoor area is perfect for lazy days around the pool. The only suggestions I have are: Invest in new pillows as the ones at the property are very uncomfortable to sleep on A BBQ would be a great addition to the outdoor area.

Spacious but.....

It was a spacious home that was fairly well equipped however we did experience some issues. * Several windows did not have flyscreens on them (including dinning and kitchen) and the flyscreen on several of the windows and doors had large holes or were completely coming off. * Had to wash everything by hand as when we tried the dishwasher nothing looked washed at all and ended up handwashing everything again. * The water dispenser on the fridge did not appear to work. * Could not find an iron or iron board. Contacted the owner and did not receive a response. Had to borrow one from a friend. We did however find a hand steamer on the checkout that was at the bottom of one of the bedrooms wardrobe amongst some ventilation tubing. * TV in 2nd bedroom TV did not have any connection. Bought a coax cable so it could be used. Reception was so poor TV could not be watched. * TV in 3rd bedroom could only be used for DVD's. * Fan in main bedroom would only work if the light was on. They did provide a variety of fans and portable air conditioners that could be connected. Unsure of where the ventilation tubing is supposed to go though. * Main bed pillows were so high you felt like you were sleeping sitting up. Ended up going and buying our own pillows. * Main bedroom could benefit from curtains as well as the blind. We hung a sheet up in the hopes of darkening the room to the early rising sun. * Deck was lovely unfortunately only one downlight worked which made it difficult to sit out there at night. * There was no dryer or hairdryer and washing machine would only do a cold wash. * No wash basket to carry washing from downstairs laundry to upstairs outside clothesline. * Window in dining room needs to be either fully frosted or have the patches of frosting removed. * Pool would be difficult to get in an out of for a lot of people.

Perfect

We absolutely loved staying at this property! It was the perfect size, layout, aesthetically pleasing and super comfortable. Location was great, close to everything, quiet neighbourhood and plenty of privacy. Kids have already asked if we can stay there again and we would definitely love to. Property manager was also very nice and helpful, and quick to respond to questions.

Why they chose this property

Southport is a 5 minute drive to Surfers Paradise and the beach. The local supermarket is a short 5 minute walk away and you can catch local buses from here also. Our favourite cafes, markets, BBQ spots and shopping are a walk away at Chevron Island / Hota (Evandale Lake and markets) / Brickworks/ China Town. Our House is in a quiet neighbourhood on a high block with views of Surfers and has a high fence that offers privacy.
